Kimbo was operated. The procedure was been long and complicated. It took over 4 hours for our surgeon to proceed to do a bone grafting and fix the bone with titanium plates.
The coming weeks are crucial. The leg will have to be kept under constant attention to avoid infection or another fracture. It’s going to be a long road for Kimbo, please, if you can, please support her operation and recovery through this Chipin…

Avoiding pain…
This is the principle that moves most human beings, and certainly the vast majority of the animal kingdom, and Bimbo has completely failed at either of those things.
Born as a stray in India. Loved by noone, chased, stoned, hit, and in end, left along the side of the road with the kind of limp that will never go away.
She is a beautiful girl. When we found her she was badly trying to hold his leg upright so as to avoid any contact with the floor. The pain must have been excruciating, and judging by the Xray and her continuous crying it must have gone on for a very long time.
Bimbo spent the last few weeks hiding in a shady corner where noone would disturb her only to come out at night hoping to find something to eat in the garbage littering the city.
And all of that, whilst avoiding the dog catchers of one of the worlds cruelest municipalities, the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Bimbo’s life has been mark by cruelty, there has been very little pleasure and a whole lot of pain. It is time to change this.
We are going to fix her leg and transform her life. As you can see in the Xray, her bone is crashed beyond repair, broken into many little pieces, we are going to need to proceed to a delicate bone grafting procedure.
There is noone in Hyderabad capable of perform this surgery. Because of this we are going fly one of the most reputed veterinary surgeons in the country, Dr. Ayyappan, professor at the Madras Veterinary Hospital, into Hyderabad so that he performs Bimbo’s operation.
