“When a pellet and a kitten meet, the results are always devastating. When the pellets are two, they can cost a life. Betty was lucky, she survived but was left paralyzed.
Betty is a 2yr-old girl. A hunter wannabe decided he should test his aiming skills at the little animal, and when he was done with her he left her for dead. Fortunately a real human happened by and rescued the little cat.
Many, many hours at vet clinic, two operations and many hopeless moments (when euthanasia was recommended) later Betty is one healthy cat. One pellet is lodged in the base of the spine, causing paralysis to the hind lets. The other pellet is floating just beneath the spine is not causing trouble. Betty can run with her front lets faster than healthy cats; she climbs the cat tree and can plop herself next to you on the sofa online pharmacy generic xanax with no trouble at all.
Betty needs her bladder expressed three times a day – a skill, relatively easy to acquire under vet instruction. She wears a cat nappy with no hassle and has a regular regime of pooping while her bladder is being expressed. In spite of her disability, Betty is extremely easy to care for.
We are looking for a very special home for Betty, one that truly understand animal rescue. Adopting a handicapped animal is not for everyone, only the truly special will come forward to adopt and care for a cat like Betty.

– The family must have AT LEAST ONE OTHER ANIMAL at present. We want to make sure you understand the responsibility of caring for an animal.
– Betty will be an indoor cat. Access to garden is a plus, of course.
