This is the bittersweet end of an otherwise happy story… Bittersweet for me, that is.
He was barely 100 grams when I rescued him. 100 grams of bones, hair, fleas and infection. He was totally and absolutely distroyed…. but he had something else… he had an incredible will to live, he had hunger and a zest for life unlike anything I´ve ever seen.
I named him Samson.
Upon seeing his pictures many people jumped to help and donated to his treatment. Samson was critical for some time and he ended up loosing on his eyes eyes, but he grew to become a beautiful black cat. A cat with one eye and the biggest spirit.
Many people helped, but noone offered to open their home to him… and so he stated at home with Monkey, Vania, Peke and the rest of my family. I took care of him the best I could, endless sessions cleaning his infected eyes, he was given the best medical treatment available, ate the best food a cat could have. I fell in love with him, and he returned that love by growing strong and happy.
But I promised Samson that the day I found a home better than ours I would send him there. Samson deserved more…
And so we waited, patiently… until that perfect home finally appeared.
When Philippe´s parents told me they wanted to adopt another of our cats I didn´t hesitate for a second… Samson and Philippe had met in Spain and they had become fast friends. THEY WERE THE FAMILY SAMSON HAD BEEN WAITING FOR!!!
And so it ends, for me and Samson. And so he begins a new life with a family that will love him and cherish healthordisease.com him and give him everything he will need, for the rest of his life.
In his short life he has seen so much… but this is only the beginning of his new adventures.

UPDATE:… and my beautiful Samson arrived home… and he met his friend Felipe, and they went on to have excellent adventures. Two cats and a destiny…
Samson´s life took a lucky turn the moment he met us, and now, he´s home because of you… Please help us continue our work.

If Samson weighs les than 5.0kg then he can fly in the passenger cabin and he should. The crew sometimes forget to pressurize the cargo bay with very tragic results. Don’t put Samson in the cargo bay after all that he has been through.
Of course not Ahmet .. Samson will fly on my lap don’t worry about that 🙂

I haven’t donated before, but this baby broke my heart! I have NEVER seen such a sad, neglected kitten. Why someone never helped her before this I can’t understand. Get her to her forever home as fast as you can…..and I pray and hope it is someone who will give her the BEST of everything. She deserves it. I am so, so happy for Samson. Because of him I learned about LAG and all the extraordinary and wonderful work you do. I fell in love with him the second I saw him. I am so graterul to him Viktor, because if there was no Samson my faith in humans wouldn’t have been restored. It has been a long year and a long wait for Samson, but he is going home, going to his perfect home. I donated when you found Samson, and would very much like to do now, but unfortunatly am not able now. But I will share and share again. Thank you, both you and this lovely boy have filled my heart, restored my faith , so I can once again believe in happy endings and that when we do things with real love in our heart, we will always succeed.

I just adopted out 2 kittens I fosters so I am happy but a little teary and this really has me crying both of sadness and happiness!! What can I do? I have no money or home to give to them because we have one dog and one cat, but I whish I have millions of money and it’s hurt inside of me for I can not help. I see all the cats and dogs case and I be so happy when I see them so fresh and happy and they are ready to get a new home and then I hope at the new home are kind to them and take care and really love them. I think and hope for every case of animals when they are ready for the new home at there are the best for them and they live with all love just around them to the end of theirs life. We know we love and take care to our animals. We love them to the never ending.
