Hi…

Remember Biscuit? We traveled across the world to rescue him and give him a chance at survival, for him we went above and beyond the call of duty, we placed our hopes and dreams of a better world into this tiny broken angel, and in the end he left us.
There hasn’t been a single day since that I haven’t thought of him, how short his life was, and the terrible injustice of his passing.

A couple of months later another of Biscuit’s siblings left us.. his name was Nemo. By then I was too raw to cry and I tried to suppress my emotions. I wasn’t ready to handle another death. Both Biscuit and Nemo suffered a genetic condition that affected the development of their bones.  We suspect their fist sibling to pass, Fawn, may have also had the disease.  There was nothing anyone in this world could do for them, but we tried…

But this post is not about Biscuit, Nemo and Fawn, it is about their legacy, the family they left behind.

Biscuit, Nemo and Fawn left four siblings behind, Shark Finn, Koi, Coral and Beluga.  When they were rescued they were all in critical condition. We thought they wouldn’t be able to make it, but they did!.. During the last few months they have been living with Katy and her family, growing up strong and healthy, being treated like feline royalty. They are all that we have left of the two angels we lost, and for that, we treasure them in a very special way.

A special Facebook Page was set up to find homes for them and through, two of them, Shark Finn and Koi have found a wonderful home in Amsterdam (Holland).

Usually we would make an appeal to try to find a flight volunteer, someone already taking the trip that would act as flight parent. Using this system we have flown hundreds of animals home. But in this case the solution is not that easy. Koi and Shark Finn are in Savannah (Georgia) and no matter how hard we have tried it has been absolutely impossible to find someone that could act as flight parent. So the only way for them to go home is for us to buy their foster family a ticket so that she can travel to Holland and deliver them home safely.

And this is why I’m writing this post. Many of you met Biscuit and Nemo. helped us with their treatments and cried bitter tears facing the impossibility of saving them.

This is our chance to close the circle… we love them, we treasure them, but we don’t own them.. this our chance to give Koi and Shark Finn a final push so that they can go home together to continue living the lives Biscuit and Nemo couldn’t…

This is an special appeal, one that is specially moving for us. Please, if you can, help us send Koi and Shark Finn on their journey home.  Every little helps…

Many many thanks

Viktor

P.S…. because even in the midst of all this cruelty… there is HOPE

I really hope you get all the chip-ins you guys need. It was horrible seeing Biscuit go – I could barely believe it, we all wished so hard for him… BUT! It’s wonderful to see his siblings live on and survive for the family they lost.
I really do hope you get the chip-ins. 🙂

  4. Hi and first off, Great work! 😀 I only just discovered this and I am shocked! You have restored my faith in humanity 🙂 Please don’t mind me asking, as I only ask because I don’t know, but isn’t it possible for kitties (and dogs) to fly on their own? I know I wouldn’t send my kitty on a plane by herself of course – anyway, just curious :):) Keep up the good work. I hope to chip in when I can.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

      Hi Heidi… good question..
Yes.. it’s possible for them to fly on their own but only if you send them using a pet carrier company.. In the end the cost ends up being much higher and they fly on cargo hold. Whenever possible, and with cats 90% of the time we fly them in cabin with a human escort..

  5. Donated… only a small amount, but I hope it will help to give this two little cats a chance of a good home <3

It still hurts to think of poor little Biscuit – amazingly beautiful angel. What has happened to the last two – Coral and Beluga? I wish the best for Biscuit’s family – and hope they get to enjoy a life Biscuit never had a chance at.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Coral and Beluga are still waiting at Katy’s home, waiting to be rehomed together… 🙂

  10. Condolences, to all who loved Biscuit. Prayed for recovery. Never’s easy to lose a pet to death. Some people don’t understand how much they touch our lives for the better, and when they go, it’s devistating. Siblings, are looking good. Enjoyed the post, and am praying for tremendous chip-ins for their homeward trip. Thanks, Viktor, and the LAG. organization. Very glad that No isn’t a final option. Blessings to all.

  14. I hope you can away to get these little ones to their finale home safely..My deepest sympathy to everyone who loved Biscuit and Nemo. I still cry over the lost of my first cat.She was very special to me and she passed away 14 years ago.Losing a close pet is totally different then losing aclose family or friend. For me it hurt more.May Biscuit andNemo’s Legacy live on. Thank you Barb

  15. Just sent a little.

  16. The song made me cried so hard. and so sorry biscuit left.. i just dont understand why he died?

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Both him and Nemo had a genetic condition that stopped them from processing calcium and magnesium.. their bones were brittle and frail. This created serious breathing problems. In the end it led to a systemic failure.

  17. Nina Minsky says:

I cried so hard watching that video, Biscuit was an unbelievably gorgeous boy and you are just as much angels as he was to have taken him in and given him the best life he could have hoped for. It is truly tragic that animals suffer every day in the shelter and Biscuit was one of the lucky ones, he was truly blessed to have had you if only for a moment. I really have no money, but I will pledge some of my next payment to helping his siblings find their happy ending.

  18. Hello…It is so wonderful that Shark Finn and Koi are doing so wonderful. But watching the first video with Biscuit on there made all those feels come back up and I started to cry all over again. I can’t believe how much that sweet little boy touched my heart and I will never forget him or his family. I don’t have much to donate but hopefully it will help. You are an amazing person and the wonderful things you do to help all these babies just touches my heart. I wish you lived closer so I could thank you in person and give you a hug. Please keep up all the great work and God Bless You!

      Still looking for a home

  20. I don’t understand. These felines live in GA, USA and you want money to ship them to Amsterdam, Holland?? Why on earth would anyone need to do that?? is there some sort of unknown shortage of cats in Holland now?? Why would these beautiful cats not be available for adoption LOCALLY or, if you must, in another state. in the USA. This smells like a SCAM.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

The cats were placed for adoption in the USA. Where were you when they needed a home?
ok.. don’t tell me.. I know… you were probably busy calling people scammers.
      Ridiculous people..

  21. larry spizzirri says:

Precious little angels. They bring us love and we will never forget them.

  22. Please dont use lasers with cats as I heard it causes neurological problems. :-/

  24. Kathy Knudsen says:

So sorry to hear about Biscuit and Nemo – praying that his siblings are taken to their new forever home and that their adoptive parents will love them forever and never let them get hurt again!
