“The smallest feline is a masterpiece.”
― Leonardo da Vinci

We get a question all the time: Where does Let’s Adopt! gets his animals? …
It always begins with a desperate plea for help…
I received an email a few days ago…

The lady told us her younger son had seen someone throwing a white cat out of the window of a moving vehicle.. The cat hit the ground head first and then rolled with the rest of his body, laying on the floor whimpering.
The results? Pneumotorax, multiple fractures, a broken jaw, a luxated hip and a broken femur.

They had called him Philippe, and Philippe was in a state of maximum stress!, he couldn’t stay upright, he couldn’t eat, drink or anything. He was in a lot of pain coming from several places and they didn’t have the necessary funds to operate him. Even if they started their own efforts to raise funds for the treatment it would take many days for them to raise the funds needed for these operations and the hospitalization  and by then the animal would have suffered terribly.
Could we help?
I said we would.. and we asked them to rush Philippe to our clinic.

This is Philippe’s condition, for lack of a better word I would say it’s dramatic. The fractures on his hip and leg barely allow him to stand, and he can’t use his jaw so he is being fed through a tube that delivers the food right to the entry of his stomach…
Have a look at these pictures… try to guess how Philippe feels and you’ll understand the urgency of the situation.

Philippe’s operation is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday the latest. We just have the weekend to raise enough funds for his surgery and post-op care as well as to find him a foster/final home for him.

So please, if you can, give Philippe a hand… every little helps.. do you smoke? Offer Philippe the price of a packet, like Starbucks? Invite Philippe to one… skip that dinner with your boy or girl, stay home watching a movie and offer dinner to Philippe.. We don’t have much time..

Here he is, eating through a tube, a broken kitty that needs to be put together as soon as possible.. Please, could you help?

Many many thanks!

Viktor

P.S. As usual there will be periodic updates about Philippe’s state on our Page, Let’s Adopt Global.
Should you wish to Adopt Philippe after he is please write to me on viktor@myletsadopt.com telling me everything about you and your animals..

May 27…

It seems a lifetime away… Philippe recovered completely. I fostered him myself during those critical weeks, he blossomed into a wonderful cat, trusting, social, fun… He’s just great.

Last weekend Philippe flew to his new home in Munich (Germany), I took him there myself, he now lives with Marion, Markus, Bingley, Delhi and a degu whose name escapes me  🙂

Here are some pictures of his new life….  Mission accomplished…  Good Luck Philippe…

Update November 13

Philippe just sent me a couple of pictures from Germany… He wanted to introduce me to his new friend, the Teddy Bear! :-).

We love them both!!!

Let’s Adopt! is a community made up entirely of volunteers. Everything we do, everything happens because of contributions from our members. You have seen what we did for Philippe and so many others, please help us continue our inspiring work by contributing to the Simba Fund… without your help, nothing could ever happen.

Many thanks!

Viktor

  1. Thank you for saving him, Viktor. I hope my small contribution will support your noble act.

  2. Poor Phillipe. How COULD anyone do something so wicked and cruel to such a beautiful cat. Please heal this lovely cat and find him a truly LOVING home. I just wish I was in a financial position to be able to help but sadly I’m not.

  3. Once again I am lost for words are the evilness of my fellow human beings.
I hope my small donation will add to all other small donations and all together will make a big difference to Phillipe.
I adore cats, I adore all animals. They all deserve to be treated with love and respect.

Viktor, I have so much admiration for you. I also love all animals but somethimes I get so tired of all the abuse and neglect that I wish I never opened an account on FB, that I didn’t knew about this. It’s amazing how you always find again the strength to go on.Thanks in name of all animals, you are a living angel. The world would be so much better if there were more Viktor Larkills.

  5. Irish Cornaire says:

Viktor,I have been sharing these poor babies to garner donations and have some that refuse because they say this is all a scam,I am so sick of hearing that,I will defend ye cause to the end, just wanted ye to know!

  6. Donated a little. Please take care of him. 🙁

  7. Is there any way for donation except credit cards? I want to help but I do not have a credit card 🙁

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Many thanks Kaan but Paypal is our only way to process donations. Many many thanks

  8. Bless you!
happy you’re working so hard for these “hopeless cases”! i picked up a cat that couldn’t stand up and was starving in the street last year on holiday in France, brought it home and promised him i’d make him better no matter what.. turned out he had been shot and had two broken humerus .. everyone told me i’d better have him put down, but he wanted to live! cost me a whole bunch of money to have him operated several times, and took 5 months of care for him to recover.. but he’s my shining star in my home and my heart, and i’d pick up any other animal in need, however bad he looks. thanks for working miracles for them.. and i help out whenever i can, with donations or maybe one day an adoption!
    love from Belgium

  9. Just donated, please help him 🙁

  10. Victor, you are amazing

  11. I didn’t have much money but I donated 30.00. I hope that helps some

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

many many thanks.. I will keep you posted.

  12. If you don’t use all the money that is donated for 1 animal does the money just get moved to another animal? I sure hope that’s how it works. I am glad for all you do. Thanks you Vik for all you do

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

That’s exactly how it works .. and that’s how we can pay for so many animals that never get to be featured in this blog.. both our animals and the animals or smaller organizations that request our help.

  13. Thanks for taking care of the cat. I wanted to buy some decoration on ebay and instead donated the money for Philippe. Really hope it’s not a scam.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Sally.. please tell me in which way could saving the life of Philippe be a scam… tell me please…
Please follow this blog, his operation will be tomorrow..

  15. Desiree prinsloo says:

Heart breaking, schocking…. etc. This is beyond humanity. people who does these doesnt deserve one breath of air. hanks Dr once again for reaching out to helpless innocent animals.

  16. Joëlle, from Brussels says:

Never smoked… no Starbucks either, Viktor 🙂 ! But donated for sure, to help little angel Philippe (funny name for a cat, especially in its French form! – as I guess he’s in Valencia?)… He’ll make it for sure, with the help of the usual team… Thanks for rescuing him, poor little one; once again those people are evil, heartless… and should be repaid for their cruelty in the same way! And congrats to my fellow countrywoman Elise for her cat rescue last year in France! Go Philippe! I’ll be with you tomorrow morning… Fingers crossed!

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

      🙂
      Merci Joelle…

  17. Camille Forte says:

I couldn’t give much, but I gave… FOR THOSE OF YOU IN DOUBT, LET’S ADOPT GLOBAL IS PROBABLY THE MOST REPUTABLE, LEGITIMATE AND LOVING ORGANIZATIONS YOU COULD DONATE TO! Not a single dollar is wasted, as it all goes to the animal you donate for OR another animal that Let’s Adopt Global took in right in the next bed… I’ve never seen such a selfless doctor or such a good organization to which to donate. THANK YOU for not giving up hope on these animals… they deserve better, and YOU help restore them when the unthinkable happens…

  18. Anonymous says:

Get well soon Felipe <3. Many thanks to Viktor, you are a Angel!

  19. Cathy Brosnahan says:

God Bless little Philippe. I have donated a small amount, I hope it helps.

  20. barbara wsterberg says:

I can donate a small amount. I also am interested in adopthing this beautiful cat.

  21. Question: Just wondering why you wouldn’t use an IV?

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

IV is fluid therapy for something else..
Philippe doesn’t have a dehydration problem and he needs more nutrients than what IV can provide.

  22. Lorraine Marozzi says:

Viktor, I hope you get all the funds you need to pay for Philippe’s bills. I may be interested in adopting him when he is ready for a furever home. I am in NJ. Is he in MA?

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

      Hi Lorraine… many thanks..
He is in Valencia, Spain… write to me a letter telling me all there is to know about you and your animals, if we feel is suitable we will send him to you with one of our flight volunteers.
      All the best
      Viktor

  23. Hi Victor,

  25. taunya lovell says:

thank you and your team. you are such a blessing

  26. Joëlle, from Brussels says:

Que alegría Viktor! Muchas gracias por esas noticias! (My Spanish is far away 🙁 …) – So relieved the little boy’s OK… I’ll be back on PC on Friday… Mucha suerte por ello! Buenas noches…

  27. Clare Earl says:

You must get so angry Viktor when you hear people accusing your cause as being a scam. Just how ignorant are people it’s shocking. I think that you are amazing and totally selfless. That poor beautiful cat, you can see the love in his eyes for you Phillipe must have been in so much pain and you have helped him. As I am sitting here with my own two beautiful cats I wonder just how anyone could ever be that cruel to an animal. They are so innocent and I just hope that one day these evil bastards meet their maker and get the same torture and disrespect they have dealt to these creatures. It breaks my heart and I wish I could do so much to help you Viktor but I am sure if all of us can make some contribution it will mount up and help. This is the 3rd cause that I have donated for “Lets Adopt” in the last few days and it is an absolute pleasure to do it. I would rather spend my money to help out animals any day than go on a shopping spree, drink or smoke (which I do not do by the way!!!). Keep up your amazing work Viktor and look forward to more updates on Phillipe xxxx

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Yeah… it’s quite dissappointing to be honest.
But hey… there has to be shitty people everywhere, that’s the nature of man.
Phillippe? Here, this will make your day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1XSM5wpvck

  28. Pamela Garlisch says:

Let’s Adopt Global is no doubt the BEST organization you could donate $ to as they take the animals that no one else will operate on and make them better! Scam???? Not a chance. These people really care about animals and I totally agree with their philosophy. My heart is with Phillipe and all the rest of the animals that you are caring for. I will be able to donate after the 20th, I hope that’s ok.

  29. Ursula Karpiuk says:

Hello Viktor, you have to do much and certainly no time to post. Would it be still possible that you report something new about Felipe? How’s he doing after surgery? He can now eat really independent? Thanks for your great work, Sincerely, Ursula Karpiuk from Germany

  30. Deb Slaton says:

  33. Margarita says:

Just beautiful! The kitty and all the good that you do!

  34. Desiree prinsloo says:

Great .. you have done it again. Sad cases into victory. We need more angels like you.

  35. Linda Cox says:
