International adoptions are, to most, a terrible waste of time and resources. Well… not to our hundreds of rescues. To them WE are the chance to a life that was denied in their country of origin. Please share it on your profiles… allow everyone to see what one can achieve when you apply determination and passion to whatever it is you do… |

How anyone can consider International adoptions to be anything short of miraculous is beyond me.The most important thing is an animal having a safe secure home.Let’s Adopt and all the work its members do is so beyond anything else this world has ever seen.I congratulate them on all their success.
i am so proud of the work you do. people who live in other countries and are willing to do what it takes to give the animals a new life will surely be the best for them and the animals know it and are happy to be their companions for life.
thank you, let’s adopt, for helping those who can not help themselves and enabling others to participate and reap the rewards of the process.
upon reading that back, i think i should add:
of course it would be less expensive to re-home them in their own country, but the animals can not wait forever in temporary conditions. they have such short lives and every week, every day is important. if they have a loving home in another country, shouldn’t they start enjoying their lives?
A wonderful video that speaks for itself!!!! How can you NOT allow dogs/cats to be re-homed abroad when there are no offers of help in their own country???? What” Lets Adopt” has achieved since its conception is nothing short of a miracle. My faith in human nature and its ability to open hearts to an animal in dire need of love makes the world a better place for animals, though there is still a long way to go. By spreading the word globally “Lets Adopt” will, Im sure, become the largest Rescue/Re-homing society we have ever known. I am so glad to be a part of something very, very special, and its success is down to the one man that started the ball rolling….yes Viktor, you. You have been an inspiration to us all. God bless you and all those members that have helped along the way, and most of all my heart is full of joy for all those precious babies that once were lost…..now they are found again, and their lives will never know pain or fear again. xx
I live in US, we share our life with 11 pets (all rescued), 7 of them came from all different countries (I have a lot of job related traveling, so it all happened naturally
, even my US dogs and cats came to Wisconsin from Southern states’ (GA, NC and TN) high-kill shelters. Saving live of Ukrainian cat or Italian puppy, it all the same: saving a life…
I agree with you up to a point, Victor. At the moment in Turkey there is no other choice but to send them abroad, but it is only a stop gap, until you manage to focus enough attention on animal welfare inside Turkey. The attitude of the whole middle east and far east must be changed and it must be a priority.
Janet.. educating the local population is a priority for us…
For two years we published in Turkish but it got to a point where we realized we were failing, people were just dumping on dogs and were really learning nothing..
Maybe in the future… for now we fly them.
