Petuk ve Allie, harekete geçme sırası SİZDE.

Bir kaç ay önce çok güzel bir Terrier kurtardık…Ona Grace ismini verdik.
Veterinerimizde genel bir kontrole tabi tuttuk, gayet masraflı bir şekilde iyi bir bakımdan geçirdik ve Grace’i geçici bir eve yerleştirdik.
Bir hafta sonra beklenmedik bir olay gerçekleşti. Grace üç bebek doğurdu!!!
Veterinerimiz, hamilelik ihtimali üstünde durmayı ihmal etmişti…Böylece, kurtardığımız köpek sayısı birden dörde çıktı. Ardından gelişen olaylar asla unutamayacağımız türden. Grace, doğal olarak, bebekleri için koruyucu bir anne oldu ve bu durum geçici evlerle sorun yaşamamıza yol açtı. Bir değil, iki değil, tam üç tane geçici ev değiştirdi. Sonunda, Grace’i bebekleri ile beraber bir pansiyona yerleştirdik. Geçici evlerimizi kaybettik ve kimse Grace ve bebeklerini sahiplenmedi.
Grace safkan bir Terrier. Şanslıydı ki, iki hafta sonra harika bir kadın, Esra, tarafından sahiplenildi. Grace şu an, onu çok seven sahibi ile birlikte, evdeki bir grup kedi arkadaşı ile bütün gün oyunlar oynadığı rüya gibi bir yaşam sürüyor.
Grace’in üç yavrusu pansiyonda kaldı.
Erkek olan yavru, Vernon, kısa bir süre sonra, sağlıklı, sosyal ve harika bir şekilde yaşadığı geçici evine yerleşti. Harika bir köpecik…
Fakat, iki dişi yavru, Petuk ve Allie arkada kaldılar…kafeslerde…ve bu zamana kadar HİÇKİMSE, evet gerçekten HİÇKİMSE onları sahiplenmeye yanaşmadı bile.
Geçici aile olmak isteyen iki kişi bulmuştuk, fakat değişik sebeplerden ötürü her ikisi de olmadı.
Böylelikle, bugünden itibaren, iki harika bebek, iki küçük kızkardeşin ömürleri bir kafeste ziyan oluyor. Tüm bebeklikleri 4 ufacık duvarın içinde harcanıyor. Halbuki, oyunlar oynuyor olmaları, aileleri ile birlikte harika zamanlar geçirmeleri, bahçede koşuşturuyor olmaları gerekirdi…bunun yerine, onlar şu an kafesteler.
Kurtardığımız çocuklardan birinin fotoğrafını profilimde paylaştığım zaman, bir çoğunuz yorumlar bırakıyor. Çoğunuz, grubumuzda paylaştıklarımızı yayabilmek, sahiplenmeyi bekleyen hayvanlarımızın şansını arttırabilmek için elinizden geleni yapıyorsunuz.
Her gün, üyelerimizden kendilerine golden retriver yavrular bulmamızı isteyen mektuplar alıyoruz. Çoğu zaman, bu insanları yanıtlamaktan usanmıyorum; bu anlayıştaki insanlar bizim aradığımız türden sahipler olmamalarına rağmen, zaman geçtikçe eskiden duyduğum o güçlü hayalkırıklıklarını hissetmemeye başladım.
Petuk ve Allie bu gece sıcak bir evde uyuyabilirlerdi ama bunu yapamayacaklar.
Daha fazla bir şey söyleyemeyeceğim. Gerek de yok. Ama şimdi sizden, dönüp köpeğinize bakmanızı ve o iki bebeği düşünmenizi istiyorum; hayatları ziyan olan Petuk ve Allie’yi.

Petuk and Allie, YOUR turn to act.
Dear friends,
A few months ago we rescued a beautiful terrier.. we named her Grace.
We took her for a check up at our vet, she was given a clean bill of health and was placed directly onto a foster home.
One week later the unexpected happened, Grace delivered three babies!!!!
Our vet had failed to spot the pregnancy… so we went from one rescue to four.
What followed is something we will never forget. Grace, naturally, became protective of her babies and this created problems with the
foster homes.. she went to 1, 2, three foster homes!.. in the end Grace, together with her three puppies was moved to a pension.
We had run out of foster homes and nobody wanted to adopt them.
Grace is a purebreed terrier. She was lucky and two weeks later she was adopted by a wonderful woman, Esra. She now lives a dream life, with an owner that loves her and a bunch of cat friends to play all day.
Her three babies stayed at the pension…
The male puppy, Vernon, was moved shortly afterwards to a foster home where he is growing wonderfully, healthy and sociable. A wonderful pup…
But the two females, Petuk and Allie stayed behind…on the cages… and so far NOBODY, and I mean, NOBODY has showed any interest in adopting them.
We had two people interested in fostering but for different reasons it didn’t happen.
So as of today we have two wonderful puppies, two little sisters, wasting their lives away on a cage. Their entire childhood is being
spent between 4 tiny walls.
They should be out playing, having a great time, hanging out with the family, running around the garden.. instead they are in a cage.
So many of you leave comments on my page whenever I publish the pictures of one of our rescues. Most of you do whatever you can to
spread the word about our group, to increase the chances of adoption of our animals.
Every day we receive letters from members asking us to find golden puppies for them. Most of the time I dont bother answering those
people, they are not what we are looking for, but time after time I cannot feeling a strong feeling of disappointment.
Petuk and Allie could be sleeping on a warm home tonight but they wont.
I wont say anymore… there is no need…. but I want you to look at your dog, right now and think of this two babies, Petuk and Allie,
their lives wasted.
You have the chance to change the life of this two puppies. A number of our members are saving lives, every day, it’s your turn to act now.

ya ben gercekten inanamiyorum. hala mi kimse yok bu yavrucaklari alan. yaziklar olsun.
Can’t believe no one has stepped up to take either one of these pups!! They are beautiful!! Wish I could take one of them. I’m not sure if I could handle a puppy any more, as I can’t do much walking. My Delilah has gone from a mile a day walking to just running around in my daughters back yard twice a day. I take her every morning for a couple of hours and than in the evening. She enjoys my daughters 2 dogs, but I know she wonders why we don’t walk anymore. It breaks my heart not to be able to walk her.
