Melike Acar’ın Sahip Çıkalım! çizgi roman projesinden ayrıldığını büyük bir üzüntüyle duyurmak zorundayız.

Son birkaç gündür Melike inanılmaz bir baskıya maruz kaldı. Hepimizin çok yakından tanıdığı iki kişi hayatını çekilmez hale getirdi. Onu vatan hainliğiyle, teröristlikle, Sahip Çıkalım’a üye ve benim arkadaşım olmakla suçladılar.
Neticede Melike internet karalamacılarının baskılara dayanamadı ve vazgeçti.
Onun gidişi bu projenin sona erdiği anlamına gelmiyor. Sahip Çıkalım! baskılara asla boyun eğmeyecek. Bu acınası insanlar aramızdan birisinin moralini bozabilirler ama ülkemizin en büyük hayvan hakları örgütlenmesi olan grubumuza hiç bir zarar veremezler. Dahası, ben ben olduğum sürece Sahip Çıkalım!’ın politikasını ve kararlarımızı asla etkileyemeyezler.
Önünmüzdeki günlerde bu projenin sorumluluğunu üstlenecek sanatçı ve/veya sanatçıları açıklayacağız.
Türkiye’de “hayvanseverler” konusunda rüya aleminde değilim. Tek istediğim hayvanların iyiliği ve hayatım boyunca tek bir “hayvansever”le daha muhatap olmazsam mutlu öleceğim. Ülkemizdeki hayvan hakları hareketi derbeder durumda çünkü insanların tek yaptığı konuşmak, işe girişmek değil.
Sahip Çıkalım! insanlara örnek olarak onları yönlendirmek üzere kuruldu ve bunu yapmaya devam edecek. Ancak biz hayvanları özgürleştirmeye çalışır, insanların cehaletiyle, hayatlarımıza ve onurumuza karşı saldırılarla, hakaret ve karalamalarla savaşırken hayvanlar kafeslerinde, barınaklarda, cadde köşelerinde, zincirlerin ucunda, atıldıkları ormanlarda susuzluk, açlık ve çaresizlikten kurtarılmayı bekliyorlar.
Her millet hakettiği kaderi yaşar ve öyle görünüyor ki bu milletin hakettiği kader de bu.
Melike, sana en iyi dileklerimizi gönderiyor ve seni her adımında destekleyeceğimize söz veriyoruz. Kararını anlıyor ve saygı duyuyoruz.

Melike Acar leaves the Comic Book project due to slander and pressure.
It is with profound sadness that we must announce the departure of Melike Acar from the Let’s Adopt comic-book project.
Using her words:
“Pressure, court cases, evidences, new enemies, people who shout and insult, quarrel, swear, those who slander my name, my honor, my profession in shitty internet newspapers… All this because of a single draft drawing before I have even started. I cannot eat, cannot sleep for the last week and for I have been crying for the last 2 days. Because of health reasons, until i pull myself together I am postponing the Let’s Adopt! Project. I expect those involved to understand me.”
Over the last few days Melike has been put under amazing pressure. Two individuals whom we all know very well have, simply, made her life impossible. They have accused her of being a traitor to the homeland, of being a terrorist, of supporting Let’s Adopt!, of being my friend….
Her departure doesn’t mean the end of the project. Let’s Adopt won’t ever bow to pressure. These deplorable people can pick and demoralize one of us but they have nothing to do against the largest animal welfare movement in this great nation of ours. Furthermore, as long as I am who I am they will never be able to dictate Let’s Adopt policies or influence our decisions.
I have no illusions about animal lovers in Turkey. All I want is the good of the animals and as far as I am concerned if I never spoke to another “animal lover” I would die a happy bunny. Animal welfare in Turkey is a mess, and it is so because people talk so much and do nothing. Let’s Adopt was created to lead people by example and you can be sure we will continue doing that. But whilst we devout our lives to free animals, to fight people’s ignorance, their threats to our lives and honour, their insults and slander, the animals wait to be saved from hunger, thirst and desperation in cages, shelters, at the corners of streets, chained to posts, dumped into forests…
Every nation is lives the fate it deserves and it seems that this is what this nation deserves.
Melike, we wish you the best and will support your work every step of the way. We understand your decision and respect it.

1 ay önce barınak ziyaretinde fiziksel şiddete uğradım. hem de belediyenin personeli tarafından.Fakat yine de haftalık ziyaretlerimi aksatmadım.Üstelik aynı personelle gözgöze gelme korkusunu yaşayarak…
Ben bir kadınım..şiddete uğruyorum, köpekleri anlatmak istediğimde karşılığında küfür yiyorum, kedileri kucağıma aldığımda iğrenç gözlerle karşılaşıyorum.

melike acar’ın çizgiroman projesi ile ilgili bilgi almak istiyorum…internette araştırdım ancak bir bilgiye ulaşamadım…baskılar ve kötü davranışlardan henüz haberim olabildi ve proje ile ilgili bildiğim tek şey de bu…bu konuda desteğimi iletmek isterim ve herhangi bir konuda (özellikle çizgiroman ile ilgili) yardım edebileceğim bir şey varsa elimden geldiğince yardım etmek isterim..şimdiden teşekkür ederim..

I am so sad but not shocked. But I am sure Let’s Adopt! will continue to grow and to help/rescue no matter how hard these “animal lovers” try to stop… It is the easiest thing to criticize but when it comes to move and act, there is usually NO ONE. And these people because of whom Melike Acar decided to give up the project are NO ONES…
I am with you and Let’s Adopt no matter what or who. And hopefully, one day, every “real” animal lover will support Let’s Adopt…

I am so sad that Melike has been harassed by those idiots and it has affected her so much that she has given up.
Cagri is correct those idiots are NO ONE’s and they are surely destined for the doors of HELL for their sick lies and threats.

I’m so sorry for what has happened to Melike. I don’t read any Turkish, so I have no idea who the “2 women” are who are doing the harrassing.
However, I can sure understand why she would leave. I had a similar thing happen. In 2006, I was invited to some herding dog forum online, and asked to write a bio of my dog, Savvy, who was a model at Hallmark Cards and had been on TV a lot.
I innocently wrote a little bio about Savvy’s accomplishments in advanced sheep/cattle herding, agility, obedience, tracking, etc. I also mentioned he was a NEUTERED show champion.
From that one post, I got over 300 hate mails. I had people calling me in the middle of the night and threatening my life. These calls continued for months.
Why? Because these people wanted to believe that only “working bloodlines” dogs can herd. My “show” dog had proven their idea wrong. Although he was neutered, I was accused of ruining the breed. Why? Because if somebody read about my dog, they might get the (“wrong”) idea that a show dog could also have brains.
I just wanted to write about this to illustrate that the abusive people online can become abusive about ANYTHING. They don’t wait for serious issues. (Did I merit death threats for ruining an entire breed when I had only a neutered dog?) There are some people who just like to ridicule, put other people down, etc., and the Internet is their vehicle to do that. These people are great at convincing their victims that the victim is to blame for something.
Melike, you’re a wonderful artist. I was REALLY looking forward to seeing your rescue animal stories. I hope you will reconsider. Pleeeeaaase???
This is how I got over the problem. I un-registered from the forum, stopped answering my phone for a while, and put filters on my e-mail. This way, I couldn’t be bothered by any of these jerks. The hate mails disappeared like magic!
Then, I kept on competing with my dog, had fun, and met tons of great people. The same jerks on that forum could still be slandering us, but since I don’t care and don’t ever go there, I guess I’ll never know… 🙂
I hope you recover from your bad days soon and know that you are NOT at fault. You are a great person with a heart of gold for having come up with the idea for that comic strip.
Evet, bu ulkenin insani genelde is yerine laf yapar. Ve evet, eger bu ulkenin insani bu tavrinin yanlisligini gormemeye devam ederse layik oldugu sekilde yonetilecektir. Iran’lilar derslerini aldilar… Simdi kurtulamiyorlar baslarindaki beladan.

herkes hakkında internette kotu seyler yazılıyor, karalamalar yapiliyor bu yüzden böyle bir projenin bırakılması garip geliyor.
Bu tür baskılara boyun eğildiginde teslim olundugunda karsı tarafa daha büyük güc vermis olmuyor musunuz.
Let’s adopt’u hep destekledim ama bu ayrılma kararının gerekcelerini gercekci bulmadım. Yargılamak ya da eleştiri soz konusu degil. Sadece bir sanatcının bu gerekceyle eserinden vazgecmesi, hele ki boylesine beklenen bir eserden vazgecmesi üzücü. Biz her durumda deseteklerdik kendisini….

Melike lütfen vazgeçme diye 1000000lerce kez sayıklamak istiyorum ama malum kişilerin seni ne hale getirdiğinide kendimi senin yerine koyarak anlamaya çalışıyorum ve sana saygı duyuyorum!Viktor lütfen bu konudan vazgeçme!Harika bir proje inan!Tamamlanınca çok ses getireceğine inanıyorum.
tehdit hakaret bu topraklarda hep var koskoca yazarlar, kalkıp isim vererek insanların özel hayatlarını deşifre etmedi mi bu ülkede , hak veriyorum, istedikleri herkesi bu dedikodu ortamında yıpratmaya çalışacaklardır. aynı bu proje gibi yıpratanlara karşı da bir proje gerekiyor , özel hayata girmeden saldırdıkları kişileri de koruyarak

Well maybe we should harass those two characters, they should taste their own medicine and see how it feels like? It is very primitive and cheap… Melike should seek legal advice and get the issue sorted.

Melike Acar’ın ve gıyabında aynı fikirde olduğum gerçek hayvan canlıseverlerin yaşadığı bu son olay, bana geçen sene Antalya’da kurmaya çabaladığımız Doğal Yaşamı Destekleme Derneğinin yaşadığı sorunları ve bizi ne kadar yıprattıklarını hatırlattı. Şu çok !önemli insanların tepki ve tahriklerine birçok sefer bende maruz kaldım. Kendi çabalarımızla kurduğumuz barınağın yıkılması ve köpeklerin çöplükte yaşatılması ve yavru köpeklerin pitbul’a yedirilmesi tüm haksızlıkların çok üstünde bir acı yaşatıyor. Her kim bu projenin karşısındaysa Melike Acar’ın hiç de sanıldığı kadar yalnız olmadığını bilmeli. Bu çabanın yanındayım ve destekliyorum!!!

Melike hanım hassas bir yapıya sahip sanırım. Umarım proje bir şekilde devam eder. Herşey hayvan refahı için diye düşünselerdi bunların hiçbiri olmazdı. Yapıcı olunabilseydi, yıkıcı işlere girişilmeseydi kimse böyle yılıp gitmezdi. Herkes çok dayaynıklı olamaz. Melike Hanımı anlıyorum. Ama ben olsam kaçmazdım. Onun yanlış yaptığı veya yapacağı bir şey olmadığı sürece kimse dokunamaz.

What cowards to harass people like that. If anyone’s willing to shout my airfare to Turkey, I can dish out some medicine to these cowards. My unofficial middle name is nutcracker. What that’ll do to my karma is another matter, but sometimes cowards needs immediate, swift reactions to their cowardly deeds.

Neden bu projeyi ilk başlarda çok ortalığa yaymadan başlatmıyoruz, piyasaya çıkana kadar da Melike Hanım’a yapılan tavırlarla karşılaşmamız engellenmiş olur. Ona yapılan biz hayvanseverlere de yapılmıştır. Bu projeden yeğenlerime bile sözettim, size çizgi roman getireceğim yakında ve litfen okulunuzda elden ele dolaştırın hatta öğretmeninden rica et kitaplığınıza koysun dedim O da sevinçle ve merakla bekliyordu. Şimdi ben ona ne diyeyim. Artık b kitap yok mu, yoksa biraz daha bekle mi???

What kind of responsibilty do you have? We all admired when you started the project. People believed in you.
Melike you adopled and when you saw it was too much, decided to throw away. Like many many irresponsible people… We know this story very well.
You should have think twice before approving this
self-respecting project. Being an artist needs more than a hand-drawing. “Artists” suffer from social pressure, most of them are excluted because of their art but they don’t give a damn, no one can stop them and they make a difference!
I feel so deceived that’s why I can’t make an empathy I’m sorry. I hope you will not let us down and decide for the best.

Nasıl bir sorumluluk anlayışın var? Halbuki hepimiz sana hayran olmuştuk, inanmıştık.
Sen sahiplendin ve sorumluluk fazla geldi ve sokağa attın, bu hikayeyi çok fazla duyuyoruz, biliyoruz.
Bu onurlu projeyi kabul etmeden önce çok iyi düşünmen gerekirdi. Sanatçı olmak kuvvetli bir kalemdem çok daha fazlasını ister. Sanatçılar, sanatlarından dolayı toplumsal baskıya çok fazla maruz kalır ve çoğu zaman dışlanır ama umurlarında olmaz. Bu şekilde bir farklılık yaratırlar.
Kendimi son derece kandırılmış hissettiğim için empati kuramıyorum, üzgünüm. Ama bu konuyu birdaha düşünmeni ve bizi yarıyolda bırakmamanı diliyorum.

İt never fails to amaze me how inconsiderate and disrespectful people can be in this world. With all the preachings of religions all we get out of it is how not to have no respect for others opinions and ideas. İf you don’t agree with something it must be wrong. God help anyone who tries to do the right thing. Take a break yes but be strong and don’t let those monsters win. My prayers are with you. Also İ found multi B vitamins help get over stress!!
her ne olursa olsun melike hn. çok çabuk pes etmis 🙁 inanamadım 🙁 hayvanlar konusunda ülkemizde yapılanları herkes biliyor ve bilerek bu ise giriyor okadar çok hikayeler duyuyoruz ki basımıza da geliyor 🙁 artık sasırmıyoruz melike sen bir çok insana umut verdin belki bsiler deisir diye ama o ufacık sorumluluunu yerine getiremedin 🙁 çok yazık 🙁
