This is the work of CEVAT DURAK, the Mayor of Karşıyaka in Izmir. As you can see in this video Mr. Durak runs his own concentration camp.

I want to show you this video so you see the reality of so-called shelters in Turkey. There you have it. Turkish shelters for you.

  I am almost too afraid to watch the clip, I find them so upsetting. However, I will try to, we should all know the atrocities that are going on in our precious world.
  What is the problem with your fellow countrymen Viktor???
  When will they see the truth before them, see the pain in these innocent dogs eyes, start showing compassion instead of total disinterest!!!!! I am sick of it!!!!!!!!!!

  So few crumbs for so many mouths, this is starvation at its worse!!!!!! Who pays for their food Viktor, the Government??? Surely Animal Lovers in Turkey could help with donations of more food, or once again is that asking for a miracle??? :(:(
  It makes me feel so guilty that my Rottie has such a good varied diet whilst so many are starving!!!!!!

Every article I read, every video I see Re: Jonah, Kurt the wolf(did not watch that video), this “shelter” is torture, cruelty and the like, feel like I am going to pass out with the horror, are these people really human ? How the hell can u bear to live in this place?

  I can’t even explain how saddened and infuriated I am while watching this video. I’m sending them emails. I can’t believe this is happening. It’s even worse than what I’ve imagined.

  They need a wake-up call.

  ok, guys take it easy there! Its not reasonable to talk like this for a whole country, just bc you happened to watch some isolated incidents! And who are you to judge all turkish’s people feelings about animals? Wtf people? Who are you thinking you can know of all? And while you spend so much time feeding your animals, which of course you do well, have you thought of how many children are dying of hunger?
  Im just wondering: have you ever done anything about this?

  Yes and all i do to help , im doing it silently and descrete. I m not advertising myself as a supposed “good” person and at the same time accusing in public a whole nation that hosts me in its lands. So, i guess, that only makes me a better person than all of you.
  On facebook there is a group of people -turkish people-that are complaining about this unacceptable situation that is taking place. Noone reffered to that here, but what did you do?
  You felt comfortable blaming all , like they are all responsible.
  Well being aware of this and do nothing about it, makes us all responsible. Acuusing a whole nation though its not fair.

  What I disapprove on this f***ing planet, is that many ppl try too hard to pretend good intentions, when all they want is to be self-advertised in public.
  Im not following your..block ) and i dont want to do this also. Its not interesting.

  hayvanlarin haklari sonuna kadar korunmali,evinde hayvan besleyen , elinden geldigince etrafindakilerde yardimda bulunan biri olarak,sunu belirtmek istiyorum ki , turkiyede birakin sokak hayvanlarini milyonlarca insan aclik sinirinin altinda yasamakta, devlet bunu gormezden gelirken, hayvanlara sahip cikacagini dusunmek zaten cok komik olurdu..hayvanlari korumak ve dusunmek onlari seven vatandaslara dusuyor bu durumda..turkiyede sizin yaptiginiz isi yapan bir cok hayvan dostu kurumda zaten var biliyorsunuz degil mi?

  soyledigim gibi hayvanlari seviyorum ama ulkemi ve ulkemin insanlarini da seviyorum, iclerinden cikmis bir kac kendini bilmez, tipki diger ulkelerde oldugu gibi turkiyede de var..
  ben nj’de yasiyorum ve daha bir kac gun once bir geyige arabayla carpan birinin,hic durmadan o geyigi kanlar icinde orada birakarak kacisini izledim, bu da insan, turkiyede o kopekleri o halde barindiran da insan, aralarindaki tek fark birinin belediye baskani olmus olmasi degil mi? ben bir yada bir kac amerikalinin sorumsuz hayvana deger vermeyen bu hareketini, kalkip tum amerikan halkina mal edemem herhalde bu haksizligin en buyugu olurdu kanimca..

  yukaridaki paragrafi olusturan hanfendinin bu izledigi video ile bunlari yazmasi bizim insanligimizdan suphe etmesi olabilir de, sizin cikip hayir tum turk halki boyle degildir, hayvanlari cok seven turklerde taniyorum dememeniz bence anormal..
  Biz turkler buna “yemek yedigi kaba sicmak” deriz..

  Sevgili viktor, hayvanlari sevin ama insanlari da sevin ! hele o insanlarin icinde yasiyor suyundan icip, havasindan soluyorsaniz, o ulkeye ihaneti birakin !
