This morning we visited our friends at Best FM, one of the leading radio stations in Turkey.

Nur Banu Molla, a Let’s Adopt! member, station’s newscaster and the producer of the Saturday morning program called “Sweet Life” approached us a couple of weeks ago,  offering us a slot in her Saturday Program.

Esmeralda Larkhill, the Terrier kindly agreed to get out of bed and join us in what would mark her first appearance on a public broadcast. Possibly not her last after today’s star performance.

We have not had as much fun for quite a while now.

Esmeralda and Banu bonded immediately, had a great time discussing Turkish animal welfare and a laugh at the expense of the “crazy ladies” who have sadly dedicated their lives to slander us and try to undermine our work.

We had the chance to discuss the origins of our group, the breath of fresh air it has brought up to the Turkish animal welfare environment and, our immediate plans for the future.

All in all, a great experience and one that we hope well have the chance to repeat very soon.

Interestingly, the visit of today has made us realize the potential of radio as means of spreading our message. Over the next weeks we will be working towards setting up our own weekly broadcast…

Radio Let’s Adopt! coming to you soon…
