We rescued Purrie over the weekend.

Purrie was never somebody’s pet. He had always been a homeless stray.

When pets get sick they get taken to the vet.
When strays get sick they get given “love”.

People along the street where Purrie lived had given him a name and food since birth. They had noticed his slow decline over time, but did nothing. They kept bringing him food, and giving him “love”…

… even when he wasn’t eating the food anymore, or noticing the love.

Some wrote elaborate online pleas for help.
Nobody took him to the vet.

So Purrie was dying surrounded by love

It was that special kind of love, the love of people who “love animals very much”, but mostly their own animals.

We rescued Purrie over the weekend.
And took him to the vet.

A thorough examination and a battery of tests releaved that Purrie was severely anemic and requiring a blood transfusion. During the next couple of days he will be under 24h observation, which will determine the course of action the vet team will take.

Purrie
Thoroughly exhausted, Purrie mostly slept through the examination

Purrie

Purrie

Purrie’s skinny emaciated body is infested with parasites, both internal and external. He has diarrhea. His teeth are in terrible state, many broken, others decaying; his gums are inflamed, possibly with gingivitis; all teeth are covered in plaque. His mouth problems can only be addressed under general anesthesia, so Purrie will have to be stabilized first.

Purrie

Purrie also has FIV, a condition which affects the body’s immune system, and which is probably at the root of most of his problems.

Purrie loving us
Despite his dire condition Purrie loved us like only a cat can

We rescued Purrie over the weekend.
Will you help us save him?

It was unbearable. So, I decided to choose the quickest and the most affordable option- https://viagragener.com. I heard that it caused some problems, but though that one time wouldn’t hurt. I bought it (fortunately, it’s very easy).

Thank you for helping this sweet helpless furry baby. I wish we could take away the pain and suffering from all of the furry babies out there. Hope my small donation helps and you can find a good loving family for Purrie to live and be cared for forever!

Poor, sweet baby. His meow is pleading for help. I pray medical attention will help him and make his life better. His cries REALLY tugged at my heartstrings.

  3. Glad to help. Poor little guy, that meow sounds like he’s in a lot of pain. Get better, Purrie!

  5. Yes I do agree it is easy to share, like, and comment. Yes, all of these avenues are important in order to get the word out. The most important being the financial donations. But sometimes donations come as a result of the sharing. I understand what the pointlof this is and yes if you like share and comment then please end it with a donation. Because if you like share and comment, then you think it is important to do so. I will help of course as I do with so many of the worthy foundations, organizations, shelters. etc, I will say. it is very troublesome that although these good people were feeding this animal and Purrie slowly was deterioriating, I do not understand why one of those good people did not do more. Make a phone call. Take the animal to a vet or shelter where care can be given. I mean the cat was clearly very sick and no amount of food or love was going to change that. Although that is important, we have to recognize when an animal needs more then love. Thank you Purrie God Speed that you get well and adopted all in the same breath.
