When you live on the street danger is everywhere and trouble inevitably finds you.
Trouble for Flynn came in the shape of a hellbent speeding car racing directly at him in the middle of the night. Before he even saw it, the car slammed into him and he was thrown up in the air.
Flynn was left helpless laying in a pool of his own blood, desperately gasping for air. As it all happened a taxicab was driving by. The driver saw what happened, stopped, ran out and lifted the agonizing cat from the pavement. Flynn was rushed to the clinic.
The vets delivered their grave conclusion after the examination – Flynn had severe head trauma, fractured upper and lower jaw, broken teeth, head and neck edema, labored and painful breathing. Flynn is currently blind, hopefully only temporary, due to bleeding and swelling of the eyes. Strong sedatives are helping him cope with the pain.
His upper jaw took the brunt of the hit, which split his hard palate in two. The distance between the split halves is almost half an inch.
Despite the pain, hard breathing and blindness, Flynn raised his head and turned towards us as soon as we entered the examination room. He wants to fight for his life. We have no choice but to stand beside him.
Flynn has undergone some procedures he was strong enough for. Now the main goal is to stabilize him further so major surgery can be performed, during which the vets can put him back together again. He needs to continue maintaining his body temperature, and get strong enough to breathe on his own, albeit with difficulty.
The next couple of days are critical for Flynn and now more than ever he needs your help.

We may not know much about Flynn but we do know he is not a quitter.
Despite his fragile state Flynn has already made it through his first serious operation, which secured his fractured hard pallet. The second fracture, which left Flynn’s bottom jaw hanging loose, turned out to be quite tricky. Fixating it now could cause the jaw to fuse shut and leave Flynn unable to open his mouth. This is why the place has been temporarily fixated, and a new intervention will be performed after a period of time.
While his jaw is being pieced back together and is healing, Flynn cannot eat normally so an esophageal tube has been installed, through which he is receiving food. The esophageal edema has subsided but Flynn’s breathing is still raspy. His eyes are also much better, the swelling has gone down and it seems Flynn will regain sight at least in one eye.
To hurt this sweet cat took only seconds. It would take much longer to put him back together.

After Flynn’s story went live, it reached all the way to the taxi driver responsible for Flynn’s being alive today, and he got in touch with us. The details he shared made our blood freeze as through his eyes we witnessed something much worse than lack of empathy crawl out of that dark night.
Flynn was indeed hit by a car, a Mercedes which the taxicab was driving behind. The incident, however, was no accident. When a cat stepped out onto the dark street, the driver of the Mercedes rather than attempting to avoid it swung sharply into the animal. With no remorse and with visible intent that human being had one obvious goal – to kill Flynn on the spot.
His plan failed. First because of Flynn’s will to live, then because of the taxi driver who rescued and took him to the clinic, and a third time – because of you. This must be the Universe’s way of balancing the Scales, while creatures thirsty for a kill crouch in one pan, there’s all of us counterbalancing evil in the other.
UPDATE July 4, 2015
FLYNN WAS RUN OVER BY A SPEEDING MERCEDES ON PURPOSE but look at him now! Wow! He craves constant human affection and love. That Mercedes didn’t take away his love for people. Flynn can teach us all a lesson in love.
He’s now eating on his own. His feeding tube is out and the best part is that he won’t be losing his eye! We thought buy phentermine he was going to lose his left eye that was damaged when they tried to kill him, but our vets have managed to save his eye. Flynn’s ready for a foster home while he continues his healing.

i can’t beleave the person in the car didn’t stop to check on her the guy in the cab should get a medal for taking her to the vet and i can’t beliave what her lower jaw is it pushed back or something if it is i hope they can fix it
I’m *glad* the person in the car didn’t stop, because if he had, he would’ve seen that Flynn was still alive, and he would’ve finished the job. I hope karma gets that driver big time. Measure for measure. And I hope G*d smiles on the cab driver and blesses him 1000 times for rescuing Flynn! Please tell Flynn that many, many people love him! You rock, Flynn! You will pull thru, with flying colors!

I live on a dead end street, have had a colony of feral’s for 13 years, my little black cat Shadow was killed the same way. She was waiting for this unknown car to turn around and go passed her when the driver sped up and aimed at her. When I called the police they said “cats run into the road all the time” the guy didn’t even stop. I hope Flynn recovers fully and quickly! Stay strong buddy!!
