I will never forget the first time I saw her… she was running towards us pleading for help for her and two little friends she had been protecting for days.
In that moment, I understood.. This who she was, a kind and gentle protector.
Her friends were rehomed and she stayed behind being treated from a pesky and annoying condition. Bursitis.
Her first operation went well but she injured herself during recovery, had to be operated again… and then again…
It was long, painful, and a very disappointing process for all of us, but above all for her.
But during this time she has never once complained. Her character never changed. Some people were interested but in the end the uncertainty of her condition put them off. Would she be able to run? Would she need another surgery in the future?
We knew she would be an amazing dog for a home but that, quite simply, the perfect home hadn´t appeared yet.
All of this changed the morning I received that letter from a remote location in Sweden. It was written in that very direct North European style, and in it it described what we knew would be the perfect home for our Big Roxanne. A place where she would live in the most beautiful environment imaginable, where space would never be a problem, where she would enjoy the companionship of other animals, a place where she would be valued as an essential member of the family, a place where she could protect her own.
The letter sounded almost too good to be true but the moment we saw the pictures, we knew Roxanne had found the most perfect home and family imaginable…
Please have a look…
There are three different ways to do things. You can do them badly, you can do them well or you can aim for perfect. It´s that quest to provide the perfect life for our animals that keep us going.
It´s time for Roxanne to go on her journey home…. as you know Let´s Adopt doesn´t apply adoption fees, and doesn´t request funds of any kind from it´s adoptant. All our expenses, medical, boarding, transport, are covered by our community.

Viktor, Thank you so much for sharing her trip home. It is so heartwarming to see these stories from beginning to end playout with such wonderful endings. You are such a wonderful person to do what you do for these animals.
I’m so happy for Roxanne. She has found a beautiful home. It is truly a paradise. So very impressed that you travel and take them to their new homes. Very few people would go to that extent. I will continue to follow and donate to your foundation. God Bless You in everything you do.
Many thanks for your help Lori…. Taking them home whenever possible is sometimes a real complication but it gives us a great chance to spend time with the families and make sure everything is perfect. It´s the least we can do for them…

Loved this, just very disappointed tho that she was separated from her 2 little buddies that she was originally found taking care of. I just don’t believe in separating like that. Think of separating little kids like that………………..not good.
I smiled during this entire video. I’m so happy for Roxanne! Thank you Vicktor for all you do!!
