AXEL´S LAST JOURNEY... - Lets Adopt! Global

Axel´s rescue is one that none of us will ever forget. Noone that read the first lines and saw his picture will be able to erase Axel´s image from their memory..
He had no name.

To his torturers he was just The Dog, and for years, he lived chained inside a basement in shack in the countryside. A dark wet hell where there was no difference between night and day.

His owners used to go there and drop some food every once in a while, just to keep him alive. To them, he was nothing but a living alarm that would scare intruders with his barks.

Neighbors had complained several times about this inhumane treatment but nothing had been done about it, and so it went on, and on, for years that may have seemed like an eternity to a dog that yearned for human contact and freedom.

And then, his captors stopped going to see their prisoner. There was no more water and food. His destiny had been sealed, he would die slowly, his body would shut down, and at the end of that dark corridor he would find peace. This was his destiny until a kind soul entered the house and found him chained, buy xanax san antonio twisted, mangled and being consumed by a thousand larvae feasting upon his flesh.

But as tragic as his plea was his recovery was equally impressive .. for months we saw Axel slowly regain his health and eventually turn into one of the most impressive animals we´ve ever met. Everything about Axel turned out to be massive… his size, his joy, his energy… his zest for life…

It took us a while to find him the perfect home… his size and his past meant we really had to be careful selecting his family…

But finally that home appeared… Christine, a wonderful lady in the UK with two dogs as large as Axel and ample experience in dealing with dogs coming from difficult backgrounds flew to Spain to meet him personally and … and fell in love…

It is time for Axel to fly home. All his bureaucratic procedures have finally been completed and it´s time for the Let´s Adopt! community to fulfil its promise and send our big baby home!!!!

This is going to be the final and most important gift we give to Axel. The gift of a family and a wonderful life ahead…

WONDERFUL!
I was one of Axel´s donors and I have never been more proud. I´ve cried endless time watching him turn into what he is today. A giant of a dog.
His is the most inspirational rescue I´ve ever been part of, and I want to be part of this again.

After living in the USA now for 15 years, I obviously still have a fondness for my homeland which is the UK. I am donating today to get him there and to his new family. Another dog taking long walks and free from bondage and torture and a hellish life of pain.
