We have named him Alex… because we believe every animal must have a name.
Alex has been found by a local rescuer crawling by the side of the highway. Exhausted, nearly frozen and with a hole on the head the size of a golf ball.
After being rescued Alex was taken to a local vet, and the initial diagnosis was that he had been biten by a dog so the vet proceeded to clean the wound try to control the infection… However his condition was terrible and we have been asked to take over and provide him with the most specialized treatment.
Alex has now been moved to the best clinic in the capital and he is in the Intensive Care Unit.
He is a strong cat, and we believe he has many years ahead of him, but it’s essential that he receives the best possible care right now as any complication will make things much more difficult.
Through our Page I will be updating you regularly on his condition, right now the focus is to stabilize him to figure out the precise extent and implications of his injuries to save his life, and that’s exactly what we are going to do.

Alex’s treatment is beyond what any small rescue can do, his life lies now in the hands of our incredible community.

Please, if you can, HELP US cover the treatment of this poor kitty that has found himself at the end of the line. To each of us it only means a gesture, to Alex, it means everything… life… everything..

Viktor

Update January 15

Alex is very strong, and he is recovering. A large infected mass had to be taken off as it was threatening his survival. We have taken a biopsy of the tissues and sent it for analysis. Depending on the results we will follow a course of action first and foremost with the goal of saving Alex’s whilst securing good quality of life.

Right now he is stabilized and doing well, eating and enjoying being petted. He’s in the best possible hands…

If all goes well Alex will have to go through several procedures to reconstruct his face whilst ensuring no loss of functionality. Without a doubt his is one of the most delicate cases we have ever undertaken from a medical point of view. Please, if you can, help Alex by contributing towards his treatment and surgeries expenses… I thank you in advance for your help..

Update January 17

Alex’s surgery has taken place this morning… it has been a success but the next 24 hours will be critical. Here are some of the pictures taken during the operation this morning. They are difficult to watch, they are hard and real as the real world….

After careful examination and a biopsy the final conclusion was that Alex wasn’t attacked by a dog, his lesions were due to a certain type of cancer: Squamous Cell Carcinoma with several degrees of penetration that made impossible any approach other than surgery.
We had to operate most of the left side of Alex’s face, the nose, left lip, left eye , left ear including internal conducts, both horizontal and vertical.
We then proceeded to made a skin graft to recover all the affected area.
The pictures are extremely graphic, but they are a direct reflection of reality. There are those that will say that it’s better to kill an injured animal.
Not us… we put modern veterinary medicine at the service of the injured and those in need, and today there was noone more in need that Alex the kitty…
Please, if you can, contribute to help towards the costs of Alex’s surgery and post-operational care.

In general, I really feel more awake, but sometimes I start to panic and feel the desire to take Xanax again – but you can’t do this! Find more information about the drug on https://www.therapyheals.ca/xanax-1mg/.

Why go to such length to save the life of a kitty? Because it’s important… because this life is the only one Alex has…

Update: January 18, 10.00 hrs

Alex is in critical state. After yesterday’s operation, due to his weakened state he received a blood transfusion that made him improve notably from a clinical point of view. But overnight, around 2 in the morning, he has started to weaken again. He is probably experiencing hemolisis, that is, his body is distroying red blood cells. Hematocrit levels before the transfusion were 14%, after the transfusion they went up to 19% which is very good, but they’ve gone down to 13% which is a really bad sigh. He’s also experiencing an imbalance in the electrolitical mixed acid base that we are trying to correct with fluids.

His breathing is very soft and superficial.

If you pray… pray, but pray to the God of life… if you are one of those hypocrites that would like us to kill our rescues on first sight just do us all a favour and don’t open your mouth today, or any day hereafter.

Dear friends, I have just spoken to our clinic in Madrid. Alex left us barely a few minutes ago. The doctors were visibly moved, they told me when Alex arrived there he was in a terrible condition, agitated, afraid, over the days he learned that was a place to heal, he was loved and loved them back. RIP Alex, brave kitty…

I have become a recent follower of your work via your f/b page and I am simply awe struck at the compassion and the dedication that you and your staff display to these most precious creatures of God-It simply makes me ill to see the things that happen to these precious little animals-I have followed your work with Goldie very closely and have simply fallen in love with this precious angel-it also makes me very angry to know that this was intentionally perpetrated! I now see little Alex facing some of the same atrosities and want YOU to know that I will contribute to your cause and will also keep this little guy in my prayers that with your help and the help of all he will become a success story AND have many years of nothing but love and peace both of which he SO deserves!!!

In any case, if your husband has just been laid off please don’t worry about this now. Focus on getting a new job, get things back on track and then, later, you will be able to help again.

Hello to all the animal’s angel’s,
I just had to write again to say how much your story of Tidus had such a strong impact on me. I just can not get that poor baby off my mind. He maybe gone but I fell in love w/ him and I miss him so, but am glad he is not in pain anymore. I am appalled at what happened to him and I wondered if the boys that did that to him ever got caught? I thought I had seen everything as I have been rescuing animals since I was 17-yrs. old and I’m 56-yrs. now and since I found your web site I had seen nothing! Though you I have seen miracles in your work w/ animals and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I love you all for the work you do! again so many thanks and the animals thank you too!! πŸ™‚

  13. Viktor, thank you so much in all you do. Normally I hate seeing or reading about the abuse of animals, but since I got aware of your charity through Tidus, I check your FB site everyday several times a day, I recommend it to everyone, in fact I try to get my vet to promote your site in the office. I love how you keep us updated on each animal. I try to donate for every case, even if it is only a buck or two, thinking if more people would do so,the more you’ll be able to rescue, treat and love them. I do love you, your family and your staff for the work, which I believe is ver unique

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Many thanks Conny… your words fill me with pride…
thank you.. I’m about to make an update on Alex’s surgery.. it’s been a complicated one and recovery won’t be easy but if it works Alex will have a good 15 years ahead of him..

  14. Darcy Van Dyke says:

I get paid on thursday and will make my donation at that time. i have shared with my friends here at work; hopefully, more will help!!! The fact this baby is still alive tells me he is SUPPOSED to be here. Thank you for EVERYTHING you do!!!

  15. This isn’t much, but is my small way of helping give Alex get the treatment he so deserves. His injuries are severe, and will take time. Thank-you Viktor, and the Let’s Adopt crew, for doing what you do, giving our precious fur footed friends, second chances. Kudos, and God bless, each and every one of you.

  16. I just made a donation. My prayers are with little Alex and with all involved in his recue and care. God Bless.

  25. Pooooooor kitty,my heart goes out to Alex…Wish I was rich I would pay for him to heal and then give him a great home. Love and Prayers and by the way people who can’t control their dogs or selves have no place in my world.

herzlichen dank und viel glΓΌck fΓΌr alex

    kiss andrea

  30. Viktor –

Rather than donate to just one of your rescues, I signed up to donate a small amount each month. As my fortunes grow, so will the value of my donation.

Thank you for the inspiring and necessary work you do.

  31. ariel feliciano says:

can you send me a address so I can mail out a check or money order

  32. I think is unfair to subject this beautiful animal to the pain of recovery from this surgery. She has already suffered enough. I would put her to sleep, and allocate money for surgery for poor children with physical defects, which is preventing them from having a normal life.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Sandra, I suggest you do that. Let me take care of injured kitties and you can take care of injured kids. It’s all the same, helping.

  33. Christina Stockton says:

How can I donate directly to the vet who is caring for Alex? I will send them a donation for his care. .Bless the person who found him and bless all of you who are helping Alex with his recovery! Thank you.

  34. I would like to mail a check. Please let me know the address and who to make the check payable to. Thank you.

  35. VIKTOR,

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU WOULD POST THE VETS NAME AND ADDRESS SO WE CAN SEND A CHECK DIRECTLY TO THE VET FOR THIS CATS CARE. IT HAS BEEN NOTED SEVERAL TIMES HERE. FOR THOSE OF US THAT DONT WANT TO SEND IT OVER THE INTERNET.

    BETH

  36. Linda L. Ashmore says:

That is so horrible. I hope the little guy survives. It is wonderful to know that there are people (few as they may be) that are willing to love and care for animals as we all should. You are a wonderful group of people that went so above and beyond to save this little guy when most would of blown him off. You are truly blessed.

  37. Helga Lehman says:

Do you have an address to send a check? There are several who need an address!

  38. Jana Schremmer says:

you’ve done the right thing!!! Thank you so much! It is the only chance he has, so we’ll pray, that he’s getting better soon and starting a new wonderful life! Thank you!

  39. JoΓ«lle says:

@Sandra, just like Viktor said, there are so many people in need, and still more things are being achieved for them than there are for animals… Sensibilities are different… One often needs more courage to help saving animals and collecting money, than to help saving human beings, that part of generosity often being regarded as less important (“It’s ‘only’ an animal, you know…” – GGRRR)… So, let’s each help in whichever directions, according to our own way of feeling, our physical abilities… I’m pretty sure poor children needing surgery will also find generous donors with charities around the world! There’s plenty of work for everyone…

  40. nancy lazeski says:

I hope he makes it through this ordeal I wish I could help him I will be praying for this guy he my heart is with this cat alex I know you are doing the best for him

  41. Barbara Graham says:

Kudos, Viktor, to a very classy and eloquent reply to Sandra. They all need our help. Some of us are here to help children, others, animals. Thank you for giving Alex a chance.

  42. Sandra your discussion does not belong here; this place is for animals and we have chosen to help animals. This is a free world you can donate as mush as you want to children charities and I do not have a right to tell you put children to sleep and help animal instead.

  43. It ain’t much but I just made a donation for this poor little cat. I hope Alex gets well soon…

  44. … and, thinking of all the animals that gave their eyes, brains, boidies and lives to the modern human medicine research without ever being asked, it’s time for some of all that human knowledge gets used to help THEM for once. Alex’s case may seem extreme, but, even if he doesn’t make it at the end, wich of course I wish and hope he does, experience from histreatment will help his Vet save some other soul in the future. Good luck Alex,=iktor and all let’s adopt! crew.

  45. Viktor I am a huge supporter in what you do and how you handle things. I think you weed through the BS and get to the point, however so do I, and I have to say between Tidus and Alex I have to wonder how much is too much pain? In both these cases I really think that the pain outweighs their getting better. I really hope that Alex will get better and he does not end up like Tidus. Good Luck.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Interestingly, pain is the only thing Alex doesn’t have. We use opium-derived painkillers, morphine, buprex, etc…
We all will end up like Tidus… dead. The question is when. My duty is to make sure this happens as late as possible, that is, in 15 or 16 years… I do what I can. You try your best as well and all will be well.

  46. Sending many prayers to this Beautiful Angel!!!! I pray that Alex survives and has the loving home and family that he so deserves!!!! God Bless him and much love, hugs and kisses coming to you all!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the Wonderful work that you do in saving these Precious Animals!

  47. It means so much that no one gives up on an animal in need. To say you guys are incredible Angels is an understatement. I can’t even find the words. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the difference you make in animals lives. You’re heroes to me!

  48. I am so much sadness because this cat feels pain & you can’t say he is not !!!.. I wish you can take him out of his misery & help him not to feel pain…I have a question for you ?
If t his cat was your son will you o this to your own flesh? I wonder if all this is necessary I mean all this pain?
God bless this cat & you.. healing Lord Jesus.. amen

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

This cat is my son Lucy.
Now go back pray you hypocrite.

  49. Julia Leyva says:

Just ignore people who want him to be put to sleep! Alex deserves to live, he has got that one life and he needs it…I donΒ΄t see a difference between performing that kind of operation to a human being after an accident or a cat or dog…Thank God surgery nowadays has reached such an incredible level, so it can and must be used! I am so glad that you give Alex a chance! And all the other victims…whereas other “so-called” animal lovers would suggest to euthanize him.

  50. Aaron Blues says:

i’m reverend aaron blues, i wish this fine animal will be in the worlds prayer tonight “t”

  51. Marina Brown says:

I to had never heard of LAG until Tidus, he captured my love and my heart, after following all LAG’s rescue stories since Tidus I feel so happy that I’ve found LAG, you Viktor and your team are truly, caring angels, what you all do is absolute amazing. Now I look you up everyday, I also will donate when I can. I also do rescue for the Bull Terriers, also campaign against BSL, I have my rescue boy to thank, he showed me my passion and I’ll always love him for that, he’s now passed some 8 years ago and my house is never empty, 4 at the moment, just adopted a puppy 10 weeks old, he was one of a litter of 5, abandoned New years day, bless them… all people who rescue are real special people… keep up the good work Viktor and LAG xx (“”) (“”) xx

  52. Annette Gibson says:

Sandra, the people who follow this page have a deep passion for animals. This cat deserves a chance to live and I am sure that if his quality of life was questionable I could perhaps understand your comment. The funds are being spent very well and we animal lovers will continue to support.Children should be supported by the governments but animals who are suffering have no one apart from those dedicated to their cause.

  53. I hope we all can help, this really breaks my heart, i feel so depressed not been able to help. God where are you? please help all these children. They are your kids too.

  54. michele fiore says:

thank u so much, my heros, for saving this precious animal…god bless you and you animals

  55. julie bird says:

here’s praying fir Alex how someone could if left him the way he was is despicable I myself have 7 cats 3 rescues that had been dumped I could no more leave them in distress than I could my children here’s prayin Alex makes a full recovery an he gets his happy ever after with someone who will love an care for him as I do my own cats

  56. Mary soldano says:

Thank you Viktor for doing so much for Alex and all of the animals that are in need of serious care! Not giving up on them is so unbelieveably kind-I;m so thankful that you do this and give them every chance! I fell in love with Alex just like I feel in love with Tidus and Goldie and Smokey! Your dedication is remarkable! I’m so happy to know about all of these animals and what good hands they are in! God Bless you and your staff! I will donate as soon as I can-things are a little tight right now but I wiil as soon as possible-nothing would make me happier!

  57. To sandra … first of all its not ur call and animals derserve a fighting chance just as humans … also do you not see this is a site for alex specifically. ?. Im sorry but show little compassion as to what this is for .. im sure theyre sites obviously to donate to ur specifications … visit those

On a happier note im happy to make donation and wish alex all the BEST !

  58. This cat gets lotsa of love and attention and he will heal. He deserves a normal life.Iam so grateful for those dedicated to such care and.patience for him. I’m crossing my fingers and praying for him. Kiss him for me. Wendy and vespa

  59. Viktor, thank you for all you do. People like you are the ones who restore my faith in humanity. I will make a donation shortly.

  60. Viktor,

You’re doing a remarkable thing and I commend you for all of your efforts! I think it’s great that you see that animals are just as important as humans and deserve the same chances at a good life…no matter the pain or cost πŸ™‚

  61. David DuBois says:

    GOD speed!

  62. Wow…..bless this kitty! I will be praying for his recovery. You Viktor are amazing!

  63. Shut up “Sandra” and stop commenting on things you know nothing about. People like you always rush to say “put the animal down” only because you do not like how it looks and it’s easier for you to deal with if it’s over with and gone. These excellent vets and kind hearted rescuers know exactly what they are doing and how to help. Let the sweet cat have his chance. Let him fight. He obviously chose life because he was fighting so hard to survive on his own. Now he’s not alone and he is getting the help he needs and deserves. Take your ignorance elsewhere, if you don’t like how it looks, stay off this page. DO NOT rob this cat of the chance of a healthier life. If you want to help kids so badly, go do that instead of trolling and complaining about Viktors mission. SOMEBODY has to help these animals, thank goodness Viktor is here for them. You rock Viktor. Get better sweet kitten.

  64. Yvonne Davidson says:

Please post the name and location of the veterinary clinic so that funds can be sent directly to the cat’s care.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Funds ARE GOING directly to the cat’s care.
Let’s Adopt is the client of the clinic. Payments can only be made by a client. PRivate clinics cannot donations donations from the public.
You know what? Please don’t donate. Give your money to another organization that you trust (if there is any).
      Cheers.

  65. God Bless you for trying to help this kitty and all the others. Yes, the pictures are very graphic but the kitty does look better. I pray for success.
There is a kitty on FB named Dutchess. She was burned in a house fire last
September. There were people who said she should be put to sleep, that it was cruel to put her through so much. Today she is alive and happy and almost healed because kind people wanted to give her a chance.

  66. You are all wonderful.

  67. Anything that you can offer this baby will be helpful and it will help you too…This cat is tough, he is Alex the tough guy!

  68. Thank you Viktor. God created you for just this work! You and your team are simply amazing! Praying and sending much love to Alex <3

  69. Alex is a young cat. Kitties want to live, they’re not like people in the way that sometimes we don’t want to exist anymore.
Alex may feel bad now but imagine how lousy he felt walking along that highway with a rampant infection from cancer running through him. I think this operation gives him a fighting chance.
I hope he gets better. Thank you for helping him.

  70. Sandra, I can’t believe you would say something like that. There are thousands of charities dedicated to helping children. THIS charity helps animals. If you ever get sick, I guess we will have to put YOU to sleep and help injured children instead!

I support charities for children, animals, adults, all! ALL deserve to live! Thanks Let’s Adopt for helping the animals!

  71. âzhan andaç says:

    God bless!!!

  72. Debbie Callaghan says:

Keep fighting little man you are loved x

  73. christy morris says:

Sandra n others that think her way for all the cruelty done by the hand of man to animals all over this world. While there are millions of charities world wide helping children there are very few angles like Viktor helping the animals society throws away maims or gives up on n leave in these horrible conditions. I’m in awe of the strength he has to put his heart thru this and care for them n try to correct the evils done to them by uncaring humans. I applaud you Viktor n your rescue n say shame on anyone who makes statements like Sandra n Lucy. Please Alex hang on to your life keep fighting your in loving hands n once u pull thru you’ll get all the love you could ever want I have no doubt.

  74. Wow. What a great job. Incredible that you were willing to give him a chance. I wish him the absolute best of luck. <3

  76. Jacqueline Russell says:

I’ll be saying my prayers for Alex but he needs a lot of love. He could be scared from the surgery and the dog bite plus the form of cancer is bring him done. He needs to know that he is loved and that you want to get better. He deserves to live and he didn’t plan on being attacked by a dog but people can be so cruel. You are trying to save his life and give him a quality of life he deserves. He needs everyone to pull for him in order to bet better. Keep up the good work!

  77. Dear Alex, I have faith in you. I love you so much and I know a lot of other people do as well. You are such a amazing kitty and a true fighter. Me and all the bunnys at my rescue are praying that you pull through this and quickly get on the path to health and recovery. We all love you Alex. Hang in there little guy.

  78. I admire you Viktor. If I will be you, I do the same. I had a 6yrs old cat that get sick. After many tests, sonograms and biopsy we discover he has fat liver disease. Until the biopsy came out, he was alive and we tried everything we can. We took almost $2, 000 dollars from our savings account to help him survive. He was our son, I rescued him with three weeks old from the street. We have another two cats and a dog. All were rescued. They are our family, so do our son of 13yrs and 5yr daughter. We teach them to love, care and respect animals so when they grow up they care for others.

  79. Praying for u Alex! That u r healthy and happy in no time!

  80. Erika Werner says:

This is torture !!!! Too bad that animals can’t tell you how they feel !!!! Why do you always presume your will is the best???? This little soul did not deserve what you make him go through…I wish you the very same, and then people around you, that won’t let you go in dignity!!!

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

      Erika, you are wrong.
Alex may not speak with human voice but he did tell us what he wanted. We spent time with him, playing, grooming.. that was not a kitty that wanted to die.
As for you wishing me death and pain… oh well.. thank you I guess?

  81. kat french says:

May the God who created Alex hold this kitty in His strong hands and give him peace and health.

  82. LetsAdopt has become an addiction of some sort for me. I became aware of it through Tidus’s story and I have checked back day since then. It is painful to see how much suffering is out there and this is probably the tip of the iceberg.

But it warms my heart to see the wonderful work you guys do. And I can’t help but think that in addition to giving life and comfort to these great animals, you are also raising awareness world-wide of animal suffering, and how much they deserve to be treated with respect.

Thank you for the wonderful work.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

      Thank you Marta
I wished all addictions were like us… πŸ™‚

      Thank you… thank you…

      Viktor

  89. Bless, protect, heal and love all the fur babies in need. God be with you all.

  90. Carol Ann says:

Praying for Alex. I had a cat that was mauled by a dog the week before Thanksgiving. The vets were extraordinary in their care for her. The first 48 hours they weren’t sure if she would survive. I talked to her and petted her every day, which was, I think, as helpful as the medical treatment. She came home a week later (Thanksgiving Eve) and is now happily back to normal. In thanksgiving for her recovery, I’ve donated to the fund for Alex and pray for his miraculous recovery. Blessings on your work, Viktor.

  91. Thank you for all that you do. I have a soft spot for animals, kitties in particular. The rude, uncalled for comments above are part of the reason I prefer animals over most people. All living beings deserve a chance at life. We don’t “put down” humans when medical issues arise why then are we expected to “put down” animals. Because they don’t have a “voice” by which they can articulate their feelings? Animals speak openly and honestly with their eyes, body language, their interaction with us. If an animal shows the will to live then why not do all we can to help them? Please continue to do what you do, haters are going to hate and we are powerless to change how they feel. Much love and prayer for Alex from me and my gang of seven kitties. β™₯

  92. From my heart I send hope and deep blessings to you Alex. Hold on for healing, no more pain and a fantastic family who will love you for the rest of your life. Peace.

  93. Saundra- you said this kitty should have been put to sleep and the funds allocated for “poor children with physical defects, which is preventing them from having a normal life.”. We are ALL connected. This kittie’s life is not ANY less valuable than the life of any other living being!
And also, many physical defects – human or animal — are operable and those that are not– DO NOT ALWAYS prevent a person from living a normal life!!! There are Doctors without Borders and doctors in thir own poverty stricken towns that can and DO operate on these children. I Hope This Cat Survives– if not — I think all who cared for him will rest easier knowing that EVERYTHING POSSIBLE WAS DONE FOR HIM.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

And that’s what we did.. everything possible…

  94. Pascal Leunens says:

Praying and hoping that little Alex survives and lives for many years to come!

  95. Vik –
Ignore the people like Erika, Lucy and Sandra. They will never understand why some of us will do everything in our power to give our companions a chance at life. Squamous Cell Carcinoma is terrible. One of our cats had it and we went through chemotherapy with her. she was beating the cancer, but developed FIP. When the time came we did what any loving guardian would do and let her go. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Alex deserves a chance to fight for his life. But they need people like you to help them with that fight. I will donate what I can today for Alex’s care.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

MAny thanks Brian.. sorry about your loss..
      Best
      Viktor

  96. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WORK AND ALEX! I still can’t believe the horrible comments that come from people. I am totally an animal lover. Could and would never hurt one. But, I would love to hurt the ignorant people on here with no heart what so ever. You save Alex so we can laugh at all the negative idiots in this world. I cannot chip in this month. February is better for me. I’m from Hamilton Ontario and all about saving our family. Yes, I called animals family cause they are. You go Viktor. God bless people like you. xoxo My thoughts and prayers are with you Alex. You can fight this!

  97. Debbie McCain says:

Praying for this sweet kitty.. god bless you Victor for being the champion of animals who need you. Without fault or question, you are there for them.

  98. Tiffany Swinford says:

Simply put, YOU and your workers ARE TRUELY ANGELS!!!!!!! πŸ™‚

  99. Prayers to little Alex that he finds the strength and will to live. I thank god everyday for all that your organization does to these otherwise doomed animals.
I wish I could be of financial help right now but I am a full time student, not working and my husband is the one bringing home all the income so I can’t help financially right now.
But believe in what you are doing and proud to be a part of this page/community.
Prayers to little Alex. You have do many rooting for you.

  100. Luann Elferdink says:

To the trolls, Sandra, Lucy, and Erika: Please take your cold, black hearts elsewhere. This is a site for animals and the people who love them. I’m sorry your lives are so miserable that you feel the right to condemn what makes other people happy. I am hoping and praying that there are no animals in your household – you probably abuse them, or worse, ignore them. Again, please take your hate elsewhere. There’s worthwhile places for for haters – go hate there.

  101. Thank you for trying to save this lovely boy…

  102. Thank you for all you do. I check your site every day for news of all the animals. You do a great job. Animals need our help as much as children.

  103. How is sweet Alex doing? Thank you for working so hard to save a sweet, innocent kitty’s life!

  104. Sandra and Erika why do you even come to this site if you don’t care about animals, sorry but f…………..k off go away, this is for people who cares. It’s not about money It’s about helping innocent GOD creatures so stop coming here you pervert, you don’t like alex or other animals go to children’s org wtf you doing here…………just saying.

  105. Maisie Jordan says:

Erika Werner i am sickened by what you say! Most people would walk away from such injuries and KILL because its the EASY option. This cat showed signs of playing and grooming which shows a lust for life!
Viktor and LDG do EVERYTHING possible to help these poor defencless animal and you insult them, SHAME ON YOU!
If more people were like them the world would be a beautiful place to live.
As for the deluded people who say the money DOES NOT GO TO THE ANIMALS you are sooooo wrong. How do you think they could pay for all this work and medical help they receive?
I have donated money before and i WILL donate again many more times when i can.
Viktor do not be disheartened by these vile people who will never have a heart as true and pure like yours,LDG and ALL the people who SURPORT LAG!!!!!!
I am with you all the way and will pray for Alex and every other poor animal you help. πŸ™‚
Thank you for all you do there is a place for you in HEAVEN with all the beautiful people and animals.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  106. michele fiore says:

god bless the vets who are trying to save Alex and please Alex recover, sweet angel, dont go to the rainbow bridge yet.

  107. I am so heartbroken about Alex passing. Thank you so much for all that you do. Because of your kind soul, Alex knew he was loved and mattered, and he was able to feel kindness, and compassion. You’re in my prayers

  108. donna ackley says:

god bless little alex . no creature shold have to go through such pain and fear . god bless all of the doctors and nurses that helped to try and save him and show him love and kindness . i can’t stop crying i see a lot of this happening all over the world. creul people doing a lot of it . my granddraughter is a nurse at an animal hospital and i thank god she picked this profession . god bless you all

  109. Viktor,
I can only imagine how you might feel right now…

You are performing a tremendous job, and I wish that there were more people like you everywhere. The world would be better place, for sure.

  110. Hola Viktor.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

      Muchisimas gracias Trinidad… gracias..

  111. Maggie Seebaldt says:

My heart goes out to little Alex when I first saw your post about him. I also contributed to his chip-in because every animal is important and deserves a chance. I have first hand experience with this type of cancer. My little sphynx boy, Alexander passed away 2 1/2 years ago. He was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma and VAS at the same time! He had surgery and radiation therapy and lived 3 more precious years. But unfortunately, he also had HCM and passed away from heart failure. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about my precious baby; I miss him so much.

I saw your last post that Alex has passed and I cried and cried. Alex is in the hands of the angels now and is happy and whole. He’s probably being greeted by my boy Alexander and they’re playing together and waiting for us to join them. They’re watching over us now and intervening on our behalf as our personal guardian angels and I take some comfort in that. Bless you for your efforts to save him.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Thank you Maggie.. sorry about your baby… you know how hard we tried, we wanted to give him another 3 years, like you did.
      All the best
      Viktor

  112. I am so sorry to hear Alex did not make it. I have donated nonetheless, and I hope you’ll continue to do good work, as I’ll continue to help animals such as Alex.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Thank you Shannon… Alex was a extreme case. We did all we could for him. In the end we can help as much as we can but the battle is won or lost by the animals.

  113. Erika, PLEASE STOP with your self righteousness… Viktor & his staff are ANGELS to these animals & I will not stand by & have you discourage them in any way! We appreciate EVERY effort you make for these voiceless fur babies! I have donated more than once & I am happy to again in the future. LIFE is precious & I’m glad Viktor thinks so too! RIP Alex. Sweet dreams baby… you were LOVED!!! Thank You once again Viktor & staff!

  114. Alex,

I prayed. I hope your passing was easy, and know that I loved you from afar. You deserved life, and were finally given the chance to live and know that all humans are not bad. You will be in my prayers and I will be asking you to watch over the other animals in dire straits as you were. You were loved. Rest in Peace little man.

    Kathy

  115. Even though Alex passed away, I still donated $15. Is that still OK? Will the funds still go to good use??

  116. Anonymous says:

    R.I.P sweet baby!!

  117. I’m crushed to hear Alex didn’t make it, but considering the state he was in when you found him, it doesn’t surprise me that he was probably already too far gone. Sometimes, they’re past saving when we find them and everything we can do for them isn’t enough. πŸ™ You took him in and took him to the vet and did your best to make sure he got the best care possible, and you’re an awesome, fabulous person for that. I donated money toward his surgery and care and I’m glad I did.

  118. TM Mahlum says:

My friend Brad was in a very bad motorcycle accident 6 months ago. He had horrible road rash, broken bones, major head injury, and is even paralyzed from the waist down. He’s had multiple surgeries for his wounds, and multiple surgeries for other things that have come up due to having been lying in a bed for so long. He’s in a lot of pain. So…..if I use the logic that some of you use regarding putting these poor animals down due to their injuries and having to suffer through pain…..instead of trying to save my friend’s life, they should’ve just killed him and put him out of his misery. I’m sorry, but we humans need to adjust our way of thinking about the lives of other beings, even if they are cats/dogs.

  119. Shawn Bossler-Sheets says:

RIP Sweet Alex huggs and kisses run free and happy
    just know you were loved

  120. DEBRA ATHANS says:

JST READ THAT ALEX PASSED AWAY. IM SO SO SORRY ALSO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KTTY AMED BISUIT THAT U WERE HELPING?

  122. Brian Boyle says:

God Bless Alex and all the wonderful creatures GOD has blessed our lives with. i am sorry Alex could not be svaed, but so appreciative of all the efforts made on his behalf. Love, Brian

  123. Doris Lamprecht says:

Dear Victor,i was readiing that little Alex has past. i am so sorry. I do wish to thank you for giving all you have to those who can not speak for them self. You are a true worrior for our beloved animals.and i am for one are honored to know you even if it is by way of facebook.Thank you Victor for your FB Friendship. And Victor, little Alex had love and care in his last days with you. Thank you.

  124. Hello Viktor,
I sent you a small donation for the poor cat, Alex, maybye you can use it for other animal.
I am sorry that he didnot make it!! :((

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

I know.. we are all devastated.
Thanks for your help Mihaela.. thank you…

  125. Sorry, people, I am most diffinately an animal lover, especially CATS! I have three of my own! But I agree with Sandra, spending a great deal of money on a cat that is hurt as badly as this one was, in my opinion, I would have had the cat put down! I am not even trying to be mean at all! But that cat will suffer from all his trauma! Which I feel is worse. I feel badly for the cat! Cheers to all the folk who have the money to spend to save his life! Times are very hard, and there are a lot of people and children who need saving more these days!

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

I guess this is why you will never run Let’s Adopt!..
you give up too easy. Too easy to kill. You wouldn’t be able to save 10% of the animals we save.
      Best

  126. I am in tears, but alex you are not in pain anymore, RIP little boy, and thank you to the caring team of doctors

  127. Anonymous says:

A big thanks to the imense efforts of the animal doctors for having a heart so big that it is impossible to say the size; here where I live , in Quebec, I dont know if they would have done the same thing.Personnaly I have 5 females, operated, and I would do anything for them; still funny that other people think were idiots for caring like that but there il still some humanity in a few. Will continue following Alex, he deserve to live just as much as a human would .

  128. Johanne Sabetta says:

  129. I am do sorry he lost the fight but am grateful he was warm and loved at the end.

  130. Sadly I came across this after poor sweet lil Alex had lost his life!! I did read and looked thru the pictures of how he was found up to after this last surgery! I have to say I am so glad that Alex felt and knew what REAL LOVE was before he passed on and I Thank God above for the wonderful people who care enough to not just give up and put him to sleep!! I know how hard it is to loose a loved one, esp since all my pets are just like my children! Even the kittys that have arrived at my home with babies of their own….are like my own! I hope and pray that Alex will be waiting on the beautiful Rainbow bridge to welcome you lovely souls who helped him to go peacefully!! Thank You from a human that loves ALL animals!!

  131. Kathy Burke says:

Please make sure you read all the way to the bottom where you will find that after prolonged pain and suffering the kitten died. When it was found the cat’s face was being eaten by cancer, you should have let the kitten go instead of continuing that hack job that he would never survive. Just my opinion.

  132. Ok,I think I’ve kept quite long enough,I don’t know who or what you profess to be,But I have seen enough and I think it’s time this ‘vet’ was stopped,If this Cat had seen a reputable Vet they would have known this was no injury because Vets are trained to recognise disease from Injury and would have done blood tests and a biopsy to make a determination. You stated they did a biopsy on the 15th and yet still went ahead with this ‘operation’ on the 17th?This Cat has been kept in pain, suffering and has been forced to endure an operation with no hope of recovery,This is gross animal abuse,If people find this accepting without questioning your motives I find that very troubling,What is the name of the ‘clinic’ you say you use? You say you won’t print the clinics name, why? surely they have nothing to hide? I however know this is not right,I do not need anyone to confirm this,as such I will be passing my concerns to the relevant authorities and I want you to supply me with the name of the Surgery you use.You have my e-mail address.Thank you.

  133. I hope and pray that whoever is responsible for this suffers as much as poor Alex did. He was such a beautiful baby!!! Life is so unfair….RIP…

  134. I am so deeply saddened at Alex’s passing. What a sweet soul. He deserved far better in his short life before rescue. I’m glad he knew love at ghe end, and now he is receiving unending love in Heaven. We’ll all meet you someday Alex. Until then, know we ALL love you and are sorry you had to endure even one moment of pain. No animal should.

  135. I’m afraid I caught this too late but it moved me nonetheless! God bless his little soul! We just lost our beloved Gizmo (1 of our 3 rescues) and this brought tears to my eyes! Every life is special and cherished. So happy he was able to experience what it felt to be loved before he left this world!

  136. Glynna Trice says:

We all have the choice of where to donate our funds (small or large). To those of us who wish to donate to the animals, it is our prerogative to help our furry and feathered friends who enrich our lives. If on the other hand, you wish to send your funds to the children or whomever, please feel free to do so. It is an individual choice and there is Not a right or wrong answer. Please respect our decision to help in the area of our interest.
Thank you for all of the great and progressive work you do.

  137. im sorry for he loss of Alex. what ever happened to the cat named Bisquit?

  138. i had donated for Tidus, Goldie and Alex…. so sad that they all didnt make it.. guess dear our Lord always has a better place for them to be loved…
i donated a small amount ($5 each) and a big hope..
sorry coz its the only thing i can do from a far…a little action better than to do nothing at all…
keep on trying to save lives and beautiful soul out there Viktor ^^ GBU

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Many thanks Winda… I really appreciate it.

  139. Debbie Burnley says:

I never know what to say when an animal is so ill and so much has been put into his care and sadly dies. My heart was broken by Titus on New Year’s Day and has been broken many times since. Poor Alex has broken my heart again today. His injuries were just too great and his recovery just too much of a struggle but I bet he tried hard. Keep up the good work Viktor, I keep praying for all the animals.

  140. Ivy Principio says:

Thank you all so much for at least trying to save him. Although you couldn’t save his life, you were able to give him the love and care that he needed. I’m sure this meant a lot to him. To just know someone tried and helped him from his place of misery along side of the highway really eased his suffering a lot, I’m sure. Thanks again. I have a few less sleepless nights knowing there are people out there like you.

  141. Deborah R. Farrow says:

Why God…….why? I dont know what to say…..I ask you Dear Lord please have mercy on this baby. Please…..? My thoughts prayers and love are with Alex and his caretakers….. This baby will make it….I just know it…. he is a fighter…. Wish I could hug him… sending love…

  142. MY COMMENT DISSAPPEARED. SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF ALEX. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KITTY NAMED BISQUIT?

  143. Oh dear sweet boy Alex. i have been following your story and so hoped that you had been injured rather than have the big C.
You were such a brave boy, allowing trained hands to treat you. It was just not meant to be although we do not know why. Only God knows.
Bless you, sweet soul…gone too soon.
Thank you to all who tried so desperately to save this precious life…the only one Alex had.
Fly free Angel Alex~~~ Love is forever.

  144. You are amazing and you work is much appreciated by animal lovers world wide. Do not ever listen to negative comments from those with no compassion.

  145. Douche Bag says:

This is why this kind of animal cruelty is illegal in Canada, so animals don’t suffer and people don’t get milked for money. Because this is animal cruelty, having them go through all that, hence why it’s illegal.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

And this is why your name is Douche Bag?

  146. Viktor, you mention on Jan. 15 Alex was eating and purring?! The only way he would be able to eat is through an IV tube! I have been doing rescue for over 30 years, and what I’ve seen you do to animals is nothing short of abuse. There is a time to “let an animal go” and you crossed way over that line. You are using these animals to fund your own life! If you didn’t constantly ask for money, maybe people would feel different. The pain that you’ve put these animals through is unconscionable!!!

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

You have much to learn. I’m surprise you haven’t in 30 years.
      Keep it up

  147. Viktor, what happened to my comment that I posted earlier today?! You didn’t like it? It was here earlier today. Many people are saying you delete things you don’t want people to see?!!!!!

  148. Lynda Chabane says:

Run free to the bridge darling…no more pain or hardship….you were loved by so many in your final days. Very sad news πŸ™

  149. Mr Douche Bag, just wanted to say you’ve appropriately named yourself. Or maybe someone gave you that name? In any case, it’s perfect!

  150. KitKat (Jess) says:

RIP Alex. Run/’fly’ free with the other winged kitties <3

  151. Dear Alex so sorry you lost your fight, the humans who left you sick so long will suffer hellfire for eternity, thank you merciful helpers for helping Alex in hour of his needs, what country is this that leave a sick animal on the street and walk by day by day leaving him to suffer? what country is this that cared no less for a little life needing so much help for so long? tell me which country with this sickness not willing to help Alex? I want to know what sick country this is I will not ever visit there or buy from there but if ever i have to go there i will say a prayer in the place alex lived so long on the street suffering and i will remember him.please rest in peace Alex.

  152. christy morris says:

    Douche bag n Kathy
Humans with cancer and other life ending disease put themselves thru all sorts of painful treatments trying to hang on to every moment of life they can have. Why should we also grant this to a animal you say its kinder to kill them then why don’t we kill humans fighting the same battles for life the will to live at all cost is a instinct we all share human n animal.I see many animals go on to live with their disabilities and still enjoy life with much more dignity and no self pity something many humans lack.for you to come in and say these animals should be put down just by looking at these pictures and a brief description is hubris are ether of you medically trained vets have you seen their charts ? I can’t imagine being a licensed trained vet assistant that any vet would put a animal thru this if there was no point or chance of providing this poor creature a chance of a viable life.Thats against every ethical code we receive in our training its the same as human medical the oath to do no harm or cause undue suffering.. Just because you don’t like the guilt or the horror these pics give us all knowing these tings happen is no reason you should kill them just to sweep it under the rug and out of sight out of mind stick your head in the sand n pretend the worlds just peachy!!!! I truly think anyone with the ability to deal with and see this day in and day out without it darkening their soul and giving up are the angles that walk this world with us. luckily it wasn’t ether of you who found these poor fellows cause they’d all be dead with no chance to fight to hang on to their lives. there wouldn’t be any of the many cases of them pulling thru and going on to good lifes the reward for all of our hearts here reading and hoping for them to pull thru. You both really are asses and the trolls so irritating on these sites with no lives other than trolling around and expressing their cold ignorance in places they have no business being at go play on facebook they have lotsa pgs you can get on your soap box a rant on no one here has time for your kind of stupid.RIP poor alex may your time at the rainbow bridge heal all your pain given by mans ignorance and lack of empathy

  153. Robin Stassin says:

Viktor, you give so many poor animals the chance at a life. The life they deserve. People are so careless and cruel. Thank you for all you do. I love to see how much you help these sad little hurting babies. And that they know love. At least for the last moments of their life.
