Their story begins in Lebanon, a beautiful but troubled country in the East Mediterranean…

A bonded couple:

Darwin was already a part of the family when Madeleine arrived to the home. A distemper survivor, he was one of the lucky few to survive the ravages of the virus. The disease left him with a bit of a wobbly walk and some of the quirks usual in survivors of the disease. He was a lonely dog, living in a lovely home but a hostile neighborhood. The arrival of Madeleine changed all that.

Love.

Madeleine is a kind, loving gentle giant of a dog. Abandoned on the streets of Lebanon as a puppy, she used to follow people, but instead of soft caresses Madeleine used to be stoned, receive kicks and all kind of abuse. This lasted months, and she was lucky to survive.

Madeleine was rescued by Darwin’s owner who took her home the day she noticed that the people in the neighborhood were spreading meat laced with poison in order to kill the annoying dog. That day was the day that changed Darwin’s life.

Madeleine brought a “new perspective” to Darwin, and, through her presence helped him overcome the sequels of the disease. She became her constant companion and in many ways, his connection to the world.

Madeleine extroverted and loving character perfectly balances Darwin’s timidity, two souls that went through so much finally found each other.

Due to very personal circumstances Madeleine and Darwin’s family left Lebanon and headed in different directions. In a future shrouded in uncertainty, they were obliged to find a new home for both of them, a decision that truly killed them.

For months they desperately tried everything to find them a good home, but at most some people wanted to take buy xanax with paypal Madeleine to be tied to a post in a garage and work as a security guard.

Madeleine and Darwin had run out of options and the situation was critical…. we had to help so flew Darwin and Madeleine to Canada so that they could be fostered in Toronto.

It’s been over a year since they arrived to Canada, where they adapted perfectly.

Due to the special circumstances, we wanted Madeleine and Darwin to remain together. They are a bonded couple, their world only makes sense in the company of each other. Madeleine would have thrived anywhere, but this would have left Darwin into despair, and back to square one, when the world was a scary big place to be confronted alone.

But we persevered, and during this time we never gave up the dream of finding them a home TOGETHER. In the meantime they stayed in a loving foster home, whilst we tried as hard as we could to find them a final home but it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that the perfect family was found in Vancouver.

And so Darwin and Madeleine have reached the end of their journey… from Lebanon, to Toronto… to Vancouver!.  It’s time for us to send them on their way.

PLEASE, if you can, HELP US getting Darwin and Madeleine’s flight ticket to join their family in Vancouver. This is the final journey for this wonderful couple. Let’s make it happen!!

Many thanks!!

Viktor
