Dear friends,
This is my last post before our demonstration on Sunday and I am indignant.
Just been on the phone with a journalists at the biggest newspaper in this country. She said they couldn’t publish anything on our
demonstration until now because they are very busy but that they will publish an article on this very important issue AFTER the
demonstration and only if it is successful AND only if we manage to bring some Pop Stars!!!!
I hung up the phone on her.
So there you have it. That is the sad truth. Turkish Media is far more interested in showing the picture of aging or slutty (or both!) popstars than about helping this country getting rid of one of its most embarrassing and visible problems, one that deeply shames millions of us in Turkey and abroad. One that is costing lives and millions of euros in negative publicity.
That doesn’t matter. The Press wants silicone tits.
The Press doesn’t give a damm toss about the lives of animals like Lilo, or Pasha, heck, the press generic ativan not working doesn’t care about the turkish people either. Journalists are creating a generation of brainless idiots that care for nothing other than who is Tarkan sleeping with.
It’s a shame.
So we cannot count on the press, or at least in most of the Press….. but that’s ok.
Social movements rarely, if ever have the support of mass media. Social movement always begins from the individual, from people like you and me that are fed up, angry and clamoring for change.
The animals of Turkey only have YOU to speak for them.
This is how society changes… this is how we, together, will solve the stray dog problem.
Screw the press. See you on Sunday at 11 at Gezi Park, Taxim, Istanbul. We’ll do our best to bring a couple of popstars for you.

Tell this journalist in particular she needs a lesson in humanity, in the purpose of freedom of speech- to make the world better, not to make it better only if you make a profit!

Viktor, you need NEVER apologise for any of you outbursts. The world is a better place because of you and your followers. How disappointing the to hear that the Turkish Media is not supporting this event when it needs the coverage. I’m sure the day will bring enormous attention to the plight of the stray dogs and the Hasdal Shelter. Only wish I could be there to support you in person. Australia, so that’s out of the question, but I will be waiting to hear how the day went. Good luck from all your Australian and international followers.

Viktor if you remember it was the same with the press all around the world when we did the rallies for the Turkish animals they didn,t want to know except one newspaper in Turkey voices the english newspaper in Didim and one other who Ipek got in touch with can you not ask Ipek who it was they did publish it in Turkey
I think it is awful for people to have NO compasion for animals, they have feelings too,makes you wonder how they treat their children.Bastards should be treated the same.Just cut their nuts off and throw them in the streets to fend for themselves.To hell with “whose sleeping with who and who has tits!!!!!!!!
Screw the press, indeed. You might mention to them that you have brought this issue into the INTERNATIONAL spotlight on your own – a feat that the mere Turkish media could never accomplish. I wish you success on Sunday. Oh, and let the little media know that the rest of the world will not be relying on them for any news on this demo.

Please let us know her address Meliaddress and let us bombard her with emails. The important thing is not her…..she is just where she is…..but we need to touch the people Rigth. So let us drop the reaction towards her, let us use the energy for what we really need.

We all have a fight on our hands to get the people to listen to the voices of the animals (us), but we will all win in the end, maybe not in our lifetime, but Animal Rights will win through in the end. Victor…..I live in the US. so unfortunately, I won’t be at the demo, BUT I will be rooting for you and the cause 100%!!!!!!! Don’t take any shit from those assholes!!! I’m glad you hung up on them…..heartless, greedy mongers, they are! I will put the well being and happiness of my pets or ANY animals before money or recognition like fame……they should be ashamed of themselves! No substance whatsoever…just empty shells, they are!! Viktor …nevermind the big paper. The smaller paper is always looking for a story. I know your voice will be heard by many and I pray God is taking care of you. You are “THE VOICE” for all those that cannot defend themselves. You are doing a super job! It’s a job that can take a toll on your mind and body. I cannot imagine the pain you feel each time a horrific discovery you see. I see only a photo and it truly haunts me for days. You are a hero in many eyes and soon, with the help of the www many more will know. I thank you for being there over and over again. You are a beautiful being. Our world could have many more of your kind and compassionate persons. well, it’s so sad but it may help if i tell you that this happens every where (specially in our countries where they intersted about actors and who married who and who had a fight with who etc…)
from the other side, i think that part of the problem -specially in country like my beloved one where you can find also rich spoiled people- that people feel that they don’t have basic rights so if you talk with them about animals you will not hear good words 🙁
any way, you must know that your mission is not that easy and i think you will have to work hard.
my prayers for you and for all the caring people in our coutnries who want to have a better place for both humans and animals.

I support your take on and I applaued you for the mission you are on. I do as much as I can and so my voice let it be heard over in TURKEY..with the shame on the government..and who ever else is responsible. WE HAVE A WORLD we must hold hands together..or paws..LET’s do it.

I’m always so busy dealing with matters relating to our ’cause’ (welfare & rescue of animals in Greece & raising funds for shelters, neutering etc), I feel bad that I didn’t check out the ‘lets adopt’ facebook page when the info was being circulated about the demo on the 21st……………… Viktor, you are an inspiration!! Total respect for taking on the morons of the municipality, for naming & shaming the butcher who calls himself a vet…… but one thing puzzles me…. why would anybody bother to sterilise or operate on an animal they couldn’t care less about and would eventually be dumped on the street or in the forests to die a slow death?? It’s almost as if the vets are ‘experimenting’ on the dogs…. Who pays these sick bastards?! Have they ever even attended a veterinary college (stupid question perhaps) or are they ‘failed medical students’ who somehow passed exams to become animal butchers??
