Statistically Let’s Adopt is a woman’s community. This is not specific of this group, the entire social media world is run by women.. the majority of Facebook users are women, same happens with Twitter and many other social media sites.
Why does this happens? Variety of reasons:
a) Women are more socially aware than men. Men, let’s face it, are, with exceptions, completely oblivious to anyone’s needs other than themselves (I’m guilty of that sin way too often).
b) Social Media is about sharing. Women are more likely to share than men. Example… a good restaurant, a good venue, a good dentist!. Men are likely to share it with 2 of their closest friends, women, on the contrary, will spread the news to an average of 25 of their closest friends… a ratio of 2 to 25 .. think about it.
This is why Let’s Adopt has grown so much about women. They are more socially aware and generous. They are also more engaged, and social media is all about awareness.

So, today we are looking for a woman webdesigner, an exceptionally creative person, committed to create something extraordinary. She will work hand in hand with me and with our designer, Deniz Erguner, the person responsible for one of the most important differentiators of Let’s Adopt, its design and aesthetics.

I think the logo is the first thing that has to change! We need something simpler and easily recognizable.

Well.. sorry to say but this logo is here to stay… there was a lot of thinking behind it.
It is completely different to your usual dog/cat log. Let me ask you a question. How many logos of turkish animal organizations you remember right now? from the top of your head?
I tell you.. not a single one.
Im very happy with the level of recognition of our logo, it pretty much defines who we are: urban, modern, slightly rough on the edges… completely different to the others..

Hi Everyone. First of all what a wonderfull organisation!!! Those dogs and cats must be the luckiest street- & rescued animals out there.
We’ve also adopted a rescued dog from http://www.carefordogs.org in Thailand.
I would definitely leave the logo! I think it’s nice and refreshing. I would create a website, with round forms, red background images and keep the urban feel in a stylish way trhoughout the entire website.

Im glad you will stick to the former logo. What about giving a handmade feel to your website? I believe that women apreciate crafts aesthetics, feels warmer,more femenine, complex but emotional. I dont mean handmade childish but handmade warm yet chic. Although accuracy and realness should be brought into it, a handmade crafty feel to the design would probably be more in tune with the empathy it tries to provoke and the femenine psyche. Here is something in tune with what Im talking about, obviously it follows its own agenda, its design for a different porpouse but still, its done for an all female audience:

Women colours vary from country to country and should be taken into consideration too.
Have more stories about dogs and cats that have been sucessfully adopted, about the family experiences, some follow up articles where they share the happines their addopted pets have brought to them, how much they have learn from their pets. At the end of the day that was what made you create lets adopt so why wouldnt it motivate thousands of others. It is easier for women to feel identify with someone elses story, we dont have to live it for ourselves…It just softens our hearts and so could make people more determined to get animals adopted, to spread the word out.
Just wanted to share these intuitions, if they are not viable, well, just make pijamas parties!

bonjour …. bien qu un peu dure votre developpement et juste a 90 pour cent j ai eleve mes enfants seul suite a un divorce et des femme tue leur enfants ,,,,,,, la femme plus responsable socialement oui mais attention la societe change tres vite avec le net et ,,,il n est pas rare que je face des rencontre assume par la femme que pour le sexe ou des rencontres uniques en presence des enfants de l ex couple _ moi papa maman seul perso sa me choque que la partie enfants ,,,, j eleve des chiens de moins en moins car comment confier a un couple un animal qui a une duree de vie de 15 bien trop pour la moyennes des couples qui eux dure moins _ je sais meme pas si vous allez me lire _ mais je suis a un moment de ma vie ou j ai plus d enfants avec moi et avecc meetic je fait beaucoup de rencontres euforie car en couple a 17 mais mal etre d etre pris pour un amant ‘ sa me fait reflechir sur les filles trop belles qui gemisse qu on s interre a leur corps parisie cadre de dir en pre retraite je me retrouve un peu cela pour ces dames _ mes observations il y a rarement des repas prisx en commun dans les famille monoparental chacun mange dans sa chambre devant son pc et sa tv meme en campagne _les femmes seulle assume ne plus etre femme d interieure donc un maison moins bien ordorne et s adonnent a des tas d activite et comme elle parle peut au sein de la maison elles sont souvant addicte a m s n et face book _ comme moi d ailleur mais j ai une grande part de feminite en moi ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,guy serge
