Boris… LOST!!!!! URGENT!!!
Boris, one of our rescues has been lost.
His adoptant, a “man” answering by the name of Burak Ihsan Atinç lost him two weeks ago and he only let us know about it yesterday.
Boris was lost in Bostanci.
A very sad story… Burak Ihsan Atinç fulfilled all the requisites for adoption. Educated (relatively as we discovered lately), currently owning a dog.
Unfortunately, Mr. Burak’s Ihsan Atinç cleaning lady let the dog out and he just run away. Burak let the care of his dog to a woman who, guess what? is afraid of animals!!!
What is most appalling about this story is the way Burak Ihsan, the owner of a music blog, beyondclubbing.com, reacted to the dog’s disappearance. Anybody, in his right state of mind would have searched for the dog everywhere, he would have contacted every single shelter in the area, every single vet, and above all, he would have contacted US.
But what did he do?
Nothing.
He cowardly deleted his Facebook account and went on with his life as if nothing happened. Burak Ihsan Atinc, also known by his friends as “Real Hulk” simply hid like a rat.
I would please ask you to help us find Boris. Chances are he is freezing under a tree somewhere, or that he has been collected by the municipality and dumped at a shelter where his chances for survival and adoption are zero.
Finally, I would ask you to give Burak Ihsan Atinç a call on 05057142302 and tell him exactly what you think of him.
Let’s pray Boris is found. He was once rescued from death, it would be heartbreaking for him to be lost forever because of the pathetic irresponsibility of someone not worthy of having any living being under his protection.

woohoo the incredible hulk. frightens the shit out of me.
Basar says:
Incredible level of ignorance, disturbing level of arrogance! Grrr… I am so pissed off. How can you let an animal who trusts you with his life and is enjoying having a warm home for the first time in his life go out to this shitty, cold, unforgiving outside world and not move an arm! Grrr… I hope you can find him Viktor. I am sending this to everyone I know from Bostanci area and wish you the best of luck from Madrid, the best I can do
haydut, my huskie son says:
maybe he let the dog himself…
i gather, this dog has huskie or malamute blood, crossbred with a golden retriever..
in such case, if his instincts and character are that of a huskie, as demonstarted by his shyness, he most probably does not heed crosstown traffic and is out for real danger to be hurt. i am calling from vienna, but that guy looks pretty “right-wing” macho, who keep huskies or similar “wolve”-like dogs because of their historical and mystical roots. i would not advise to call his mobile, 1. he would ignore, 2. he could give a headache. i also recommend to soften several expressions, as they could constitute a base for a severe case of insult.. as much as i hate those kind of irresponsible people, spanking that brute won’t contribute.
Yakut Eren says:
There are only a few vets in Bostancı, and I am sure the members of the group already called. But I will call again tomorrow, things may have changed. I will also let the friends who live near know and to be on the lookout.
the objector says:
This is indeed a sad situation, but so is the idea that by exploting the internet to “shame” and “expose” “villains” you can properly educate society. I would personally be tempted not to have anything to do with YOU (as in US) lest I fail and am suddenly lynched, shamed, and invited to be harrassed. Animal love cannot be preached by tyranny.
sujen says:
May be he sold Boris and came up with this story of him being lost.
Ipek Ruacan says:
Fucking retard…
Melissa says:
I think he sold him. Boris is very beautiful dog. I hope he sold him.
I hate to think he is under cold snow.
lynda chabane says:
Unbelievable!!!! Please God let someone find the beautiful Boris. This is so unfair on him, especially after all the good work done to find him a good home!!! I bet the stupid idiot either sold him or simply let him go somewhere. Come on Boris, find someone friendly quickly
Elif says:
Boris is lost in Bostanci by the seaside, opposite of the denizotobüsü iskelesi. There are a lot of dogs at the sea promenade to both sides, direction Kadıköy and Tuzla. FYI
Deb Conner says:
This irresponsible bastard needs the s*** kicked out of him…lowlife
Sharon says:
I live in Bostanci, and walk about 5 km/day here. I’ll keep looking for him on my walks, but I haven’t seen him yet. The best place to look in Bostanci is at the park next to the ferry, and the park across the street from the ferry. There are packs of friendly dogs both places. I’ll look there today…
Burcu says:
Carole Clifford says:
What a moronic jerk!!! Have you heard anything about him yet? I sure hope someone finds him and takes care of him. He is a beautiful dog.
Viktor Larkhill says:
Burcu, we are humans, we fail all the time. What is unacceptable is callousness, and that is what Burak exhibited.
You are of course free to find your own “recipe” for preaching animal love…

Grace Waszkiewicz says:
There must be something wrong with your system of adopting animals. It is not the first time that you run into this problem. I remember many similar stories you posted. How do you actually check who is getting the animal? How do you check the references?
We, at APAC-Varadero (http://apacvaradero.blogspot.com), personally know all individuals who adopted the animals. Mind you – adoptions are not our main goal and we don’t deal with the same number of adopted animals that you do.

Viktor Larkhill says:
Grace…
Our problems happen in Turkey with fosters, not with our final adoptants.
This is just the problem of working here.. that’s all.
By the way, our system is your system too.. we found you and send you one of our rescues, didn’t we?
It’s just a question of risk management.
Hope Lakita is doing great.
Cheers.
Grace says:
Yes Viktor – Lakita is doing great. She is spoiled and loved. She was lucky and so am I. But I am also a very special person. LOL
Did you check my Cuban blog? Aren’ t you impressed by the number of surgeries – all done in a country without its own resources, except for skilled and dedicated veterinarians.
Just before Christmas I brought a blind dog that was adopted by a young couple from Victoria.
Happy New Year!
Grace and Senorita Lakita
Grace Waszkiewicz says:
You deleted my latest comment (or chose not to post it.) It seems to me Viktor that you manipulate the information to make certain impressions. Well – it is your blog – do as you please. But – I am starting to understand why some of your past friends left you.
Lakita was saved by Nuray Pastika, Ann Olson and me. You suggested that I should not have that dog when I asked for a delay in sending her to me (I was looking for a house then). It was Nuray who insisted on sending Lakita to me, not you. Apparently, you coordinated the information, but this is the easiest thing to do. I know it through my work for Cuba, as I do both – coordinate contacts and do the work directly.
Regards and good bye
Grace
Viktor Larkhill says:
I didn’t delete anything Grace.. Your comment is there (or should be there!). I even replied to it..
having said that… You are a bit of a pest aren’t you?
Viktor Larkhill says:
One last comment here Grace…
You seem to have forgotten how it was. I approved the adoption from the beginning.
Believe me, had I said NO you would have NEVER received Lakita in the first place.
But I said yes.
Now, good luck with everything…
