Deniz, the future

Today, we were at Hasdal Municipal Rehabilitation Center again, this time rallying alone against a cold blooded gang of dog killers.

Hasdal has an eerie feeling… It reminds all of us of those monstrous death camps once run by Nazis, where millions perished. It has plenty of “order”. The cages, the huts, the parking area, offices, operation rooms, security guards, a spectacular entrance with a big sign…

Inside, dogs screaming, tiled floors dirty with dog excrement and urine, middle aged men who clearly hate their jobs… They look at us in apathy, they look at the dogs with hatred. Why would such people work in this place which is called a “Rehabilitation Center”? What power of rehabilitation do you think they have?

Outside the steel doors we meet local kids on their bikes. They swear they watch regularly the workers of the shelter beating the dogs with big sticks, pulling them out in chains, dragging them onto vans, taking them to journeys from which they never return…

We ask the kids to photograph the incidents? They agree…

Again, the Jandarma is there… They are very very polite, very kind, very understanding. They single me out, wanting to see my ID Card.

Apparently one of the attendants has informed them that I was a drug and animal traffickers with many arrest warrants to my name. I get cleared immediately but my faith in humanity, which is very minimal anyway, is very questionable now…

This chamber of horrors, this place where the laws of this country is made a mockery of everyday, this death camp where poor animals entrusted in the care of authorities (!) are massacred and murdered routinely, stands proud. It looms over a vast wasteland producing death, pain, blood and hatred.

Hatred of animals, hatred of civilisation, hatred of humanity, hatred of laws and regulations of our country, hatred of innocence and vulnerability, hatred of self…

We are once more disgusted with those who never will stop killing and torturing who can’t run away. We are once more disturbed by the fact that we share the same definition “human” with those who have no part of humanity in them.

We are once more embarrassed by ourselves, who refuse to be a part of this demonstration, choosing instead to passively and cowardly stay at home and write “ahhhh, ohhhh” under the pictures of dead puppies and sweet little kittens.

This is a message to all concerned: We will not stop! We will not rest! We will change the world and make it a better place, for our animals, for our children, for us!

You will kill, and we will we make sure you are plastered all over the national media with KILLERS written over your faces!

You will torture, and we will make sure you will not only lose your jobs but you will never be employed by anyone again!

You will use your authority to cover up, and we will expose you until you can never go out in public!

This is our promise!

Let’s hear yours!

  4. Ivan is a superguy but not superman making miracles. We are proud of him and are always following whereever he goes. Anyhow, we need to do more than words.Unfortunatelty the vet bills are not paid by prayers and good wills.Donations are the drops of water at dessert and are vital. More important is the adoption. Not playing my citizens, it is really hard to live in Turkey because of economical crisis. Most people cannot find food to take home to their families and most other are barely living. The ultra rich part does not care at all the rest. So, we are not a wealthy and well educated nation. But at least some are golden hearted.Anyhow, this isn’t enough. Please support Ivan by adopting,by donating,by spreading the word ‘let’s adopt’ so that our scream for help can reach to thousands. Please help. Please do your best.

  6. Hope your demonstration went well and you had plenty of demonstrators supporting the cause. Will you issue some more pictures or video re: the event?

Keep up the good work. All the best, Susan

  7. I feel so proud of you, your courage, your strength, please never give up, I’m now in contact with let’s adopt group in France and I so hope I will be able to help even a little…
Have faith, we will change the world, we will clean all these evil bastards off the place.
    You are not alone!

  8. I hate the fact that you feel alone. I’m with you in spirit. Wish I could have been there. There are so many inhumane people on this earth! The world sure would be better off without them….too bad we can’t get rid of them like they do the animals.I’d pay to watch them get thrown into a poisonus snake pit! That would even be too good for them! They and all the others that purposely hurt and kill animals…

I feel deeply sad while reading this post (but with a light of hope thanks to great people), but as I lived in Turkey, I understand what is all about. I must say with much sadness that even here where I live in Italy, acts of cruelty towards animals happen frequently. This is a world-wide combat, a perennial quest for the Animal rights. All we have is ACT and BELIEVE!
