Kiki the Cocker

Kiki… Have we lost our humanity? (Part II)

This is Kiki, a beautiful Cocker Spaniel. He is between 5 and 8 years old.
This is his story:
2 years ago someone saw a beautiful cocker wandering around an old
abandoned factory in Izmit. The animal had clearly been abandoned but
nobody did anything. The workers in the nearby factories knew of him,
they sometimes left food for him to eat. Nobody could see him, he
would hide during the day and come out at nights to eat.
Over the next two years Kiki condition deteriorated. Kiki was too weak
and small to fight bigger dogs.
One day someone saw him laying down next to a wall. He had given up.
At first they thought Kiki was dead but that was not the case. Kiki
was inmediately brought to our vet in Istanbul and, during the next
three months he enjoyed the best veterinary care in this country.

Today Kiki is a healthy and happy dog. Gone are the memories of having
to fight for food on the streets. He is extremely loving and playful,
like most cockers, he is wonderful with cats and he is staying with
one beautiful cat in his current foster home.
