Saving Monica

Bella and Maxy are gone, most probably forever.

Onur Salih Karadag at Cizmeli Kedi, the vet who committed this atrocity will pay, in a way he has already begun to pay as nobody in its right state of mind will ever bring an animal to his clinic.

Sill, there are, many great vets in this country  (well, not so many to be honest) and we will continue putting our trust in their work.

It is time for Let’s Adopt! to continue moving forward, pushing for change and above all, saving lives.

This is Monica. She was rescued from the forests of Istanbul with a horrific leg fracture.  Here is her full Facebook album.

This week one of the country’s leading surgeons will carry on a delicate operation on her leg to try to reverse the damage.

Monica will walk again, I promise you that.

I need you to please help us with Monica’s operation and recovery. How to do this?

1. Contribute through the Simba Fund.  Here is a link , you can also find the widget in the right side of the blog.

2. Open your home to this wonderful animal. She has suffered so much already. Imagine all the pain she went through.

3. Share this appeal in your profiles and networks. Simply press the Share button.

Her life begins now. It’s a beautiful world. Please help us save Monica.

Keci was one of our very special dogs.

She was brought to the Sariyer Shelter from the district of Beykoz in 2001…

Thanks to our friend Lale, Keci became a new member of an amazing German family in 2002.

That family took her with them on every vacation they ever went. This is the reason why every few months we would receive pictures of Keci from different countries and locations (the pic in this post was taken in Denmark)

Today 24 th of April she passed away from a sudden illness.

Keci lived in hell for the first four years of her life until we rescued her… she spent 8 wonderful years in Germany and passed a the age of 12.

We wish all our animals the same kind of life Keci had in her new home, and this is the reason why we work so hard to find the perfect families for our animals, whenever that family may be.

Our biggest thanks to that amazing family, we are very sorry for your loss.

Farewell Keci.

Dear friends…

We have a dilemma..
Our incredible success finding amazing adoptants  is mostly due to the hard work of a very small group of people.
I want to ask you to please help us grow and allow us to save animals like Bertha, UmutLeon, and so many others.
Help us by making this group grow, help us finding great families for our last ten rescues.
Please do me a favor. If you are reading this message please invite everyone in your friendslist to join Let’s Adopt!.
They don’t have to be animal activists, actually, I would prefer if they were not.
We are not trying to find great animal protectors, instead we would like to connect good people who happen to like animals, who preferably have a dog or a cat and may be of assistance to us in finding homes to our rescues and to the blind and handicapped animals under our care.

We need this group to grow, and this is not going to happen without your help.

Please invite your friends to join us here.

Many many thanks

These are the stories of 20 Turkish dogs, rescued by our friends Lale, Melek and Bilge.
They all left behind a sad story and started new lives overseas.
Two years ago the organizations saving those animals had to operate hiding as ultra-nationalists attacked them and slandered them.
Things have changed now.
Let’s Adopt! has brought legitimacy to international rescue. Thanks for our open approach everyone (except a few crazy whackos out there) recognizes now the efforts of those rescuers.
This is what we do… Join us.

Kont

Kont

Today Kont was adopted by an extraordinary person. We solved this case using our own private network.
But now.. have a look at this pictures and let me ask you a question.
Would you have considered fostering or adopting this dog?
She lost her leg in a traffic accident. She will never be able to run again, certainly will never be pretty in the eyes of so many of you.
The question is… would you have moved a finger to help this dog in any way? Would you have provided temporary accommodation for her whilst a final family was found?  Would you have helped with her medical treatment if we had asked for it?
It is very simple… if the answer is YES, you are a real animal lover… a kind gentle soul who probably feels very alone out there. I wish you good dreams and a long happy life.
If the answer was NO then.. well.. you are no animal lover, just a poser.

Decide who you are.

Contact us. We have plenty of cases who need your help.

This is Little Tiger… a wonderful sweet puppy we have just rescued from a car crash.
He has been operated, his leg has been fixed, he will be perfectly well soon.
Now we need to focus on finding a good foster or permanent home. We need to get him out of the clinic as soon as possible.
Help, please.

Bibi

Bibi
