Saving Juliette, tortured and stoned
Juliette has spent most of her life hiding in the mountains running away from everyone.
Running away from those that tried to hurt her and from those that wanted to help. How could she know in which side they were?
When she was two or three months old someone tied a plastic rope to her neck, tight, a close grip that bit into her flesh. At some point she must have managed to cut the rope and flee.. sadly, by then, the collar was embedded into her neck, creating pain and infection.
For endless months Juliette has lived with the torturing pain of that rope cutting inside her flesh. The more she grew the deeper the injury, the bigger the infection, the more the pain burned, the more she ran and tried to hide.
Those should have been the months when she should have played, run with friends, enjoy the warmth of a proper family home, eat well and grow into a magnificent dog. Instead all she could do was try to ignore the pain, to live in loneliness, seek refuge in the mountains whilst trying to find something to eat, barely enough to survive.
And then, when life couldn’t be more miserable and painful someone threw a stone at her face literally shattering one side of it and creating an infection that blocked her jaw. That stopped her every chance of eating or drinking… She had lost all chances. She was ready to die…
This morning we did a CAT scan on her head, and the damage not only to her face but to her skull is significant. Imagine walking around with one side of your face totally shattered.
We found her when she was at the end of her rope. Her body had given up still she found the strength to run and hide. It took us three hours of running until she could run no more.
Help us offer Juliette a bright future. Help her heal her wounds, her body and spirit. She will need not only a long process of daily cures to heal her neck but an operation to fix her jaw as well as therapy to heal her spirit and replace her fears, teaching her to trust again.
Please, if you can, help us save Juliette’s life today… Help us show Juliette, she doesn’t have to run any longer…
We know times are tough and many are struggling right now, if you are not in a position to contribute please, at least help us save Juliette’s life by SHARING this blog on Facebook, Twitter, you name it…
