I have been rescuing dogs for most of my life and no matter how hard I have tried I have never got to understand what goes on in the minds of people like the owners of Vilma….
I know this is an impossible question, but how do you abandon your dog right when he/she needs you most? What kind of person takes his injured animal to a pound for him to be killed? Isn’t the most basic of human instinct to help the needy? So what happened with the instincts of those people? have they lost that too?
This is Vilma. Vilma has terrible injuries in one of her legs as well as a neurological problem possibly caused by the same accident that destroyed her bones.
Have a look at this… totally shattered. It’s impossible to know when did it actually happened but during all this time she must have been in agonizing pain, the bones regenerated but the distance between them was too big, the constant movement and tear in the muscle must have been hell forVilma. But still, here she is.. even after going through all this pain her character hasn’t changed and she is a happy-go-lucky boxer with the heart of gold.
We have no idea when this happened, but what we know is that she was at the pound waiting to be killed as noone had showed any interest in her. Who would adopt a dog that needs one, possibly two operations to stop her pain and restore her full ability to walk?
Once again, please look at the injuries and you will understand the challenge here.. a big injustice was committed upon Vilma. She was refused assistance, she was neglected and ultimately she was surrendered to be killed.
Please help us save Vilma’s life. Please help us making Vilma whole again…
Please, if you can, donate towards Vilma’s surgery today. She has waited for so long.. it’s time for Vilma to run free again!
Many many thanks!
Viktor
P.S. As usual there will be periodic updates about Vilma’s state on our Page, Let’s Adopt Global.

Update 28 March:
Vilma has been operated!!! the operation lasted 4 hours. Have a look at this!!!!
A great success… now let’s see how she evolves…
Sadly, this fundraiser didn’t reach even the bare minimum to pay for Vilma’s operation. Please, if you can, and specially now that she had been operated successfully, consider donating towards Vilma recovery fund…
Many many thanks!

Update August 22
Vilma’s life has changed RADICALLY…
Where there was pain before now there is fun, and love, pleasure, games…
Where there was loneliness, there are friends…
She is a completely different dog to the poor shaking thing that came to us… We have given her back her DIGNITY.
Vilma is looking for a home… Months of mistreatment and abuse have made her afraid of other animals. So she will have to be adopted by a family with PROVEN track record of animal ownership but no animals at the moment.
Please write to me on viktor@myletsadopt.com and let’s decide TOGETHER if you are Vilma’s forever family..

What a wonderful life!!!
PRAYING FOR YOUR GLORIOUS WORK GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS
I HAVE DONATED, SHARED ON ALL MY BOXER FRIEND PAGES AND LIKED.
I AM FUMING AS I OWN BOXERS AND THEY ARE THE MOST LOVING,CARING,DOTING,FUN AND ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME.
IF I WHERE CLOSER I WOULD TAKE CARE OF HER AND GIVE HER THE WARMTH,LOVE AND HUGS THAT FUR BABY NEEDS.
PLEASE KEEP US UPDATED AND I WILL KEEP SHARING IT IS THE LEAST WE CAN DO FOR A BOXER THAT DID NOT DESERVE THE LIFE SHE HAD WITH HER OWNERS WHO DID NOT DESERVE SUCH A WONDERFUL SENSITIVE BOXER.
I’M GLAD VILMA WILL BE TREATED FOR HER INJURIES, BUT WHY WOULD YOU ALLOW HER TO BE WALKED WITH SUCH A HORRIFIC INJURY TO HER LEG/HIP? THAT’S GOT TO BE INCREDIBLY PAINFUL!!! I WILL DONATE BY FRIDAY. THANK YOU.
Why is she being walked when her bones are broken so badly????? She must be in terrible pain!
The fracture is very old. Read the blog. She needs to pee.
I must have missed that part. I was under the assumption that this happened recently. Hopefully she will come through with flying colors and be running through the fields again! Thanks Viktor for all that you do to help these poor babies!
good luck baby
I am wondering why I have been blocked from making a comment on “Lets Adopt Global”. I have been with you forever. I even donate. I am not a troll.
Cenk knows me. I am also a administrator on TARO. You send me emails for donations. I can’t donate all of the time, but do try to make an effort.
Thank you
Jean Hehn-Bradley
Jean, I’m not sure what’s happening but I’ve gone through the list and it doesn’t appear you are banned or blocked. Can you please let me know what page, or if it’s only a specific post? Not sure what’s wrong with your access. I don’t see any reason why you would be blocked. Please let me know so I can see about fixing this for you.
Viktor, Please give Vilma a big hug and kiss for me she is such a beautiful girl.Thank you Barbara P
can she be transferred to CT?
My special thoughts and prayers go out to this BEAUTIFUL boxer name Vilma who needs all our help in assisting with her medical costs. No dog deserves to be treated this way nor does any animal!!!!….I will continue to pray for her and keep her in my thoughts and prayers and will definetly help out with the donations. She well-deserves a loving and happy life with a family that hopefully will soon adopt her with open arms. God Bless our precious girl Vilma who has touched so many of us with her incredible story. XOXOXO!……………….
I continue to Praise and Thank God for you and your organization! I logged on to check about Rudy and saw the updates on Vilma. My heart is blessed by your passion and love and I try and donate toward each animal’s care if I can. Somehow I missed dear Vilma. Perhaps I wasn’t aware of your blog then. I also will continue to share your updates via FB. God Bless you!!!
