SKYE
Skye’s story is short, simple and… sad.
А tiny stray kitten attacked by an upper respiratory infection, Skay is in the grip of a common killer of little cats. Why killer? Because it often causes complete vision loss and the fate of stray blind kittens is as horrible as you can imagine, from being run over by a car to being mauled by stray dogs, to name few.
Luckily a kind young man noticed Skye stumbling around helplessly in a small park, took her home and asked for our help.
HELP
We immediately rushed the kitten to our clinic, where she has been hospitalized since Saturday. Skye was found to be dehydrated and malnourished, after a detailed examination she was placed on intravenous fluids and is being monitored around the clock.
We don’t know yet if both eyes can be saved.
An appointment with a specialist ophthalmologist has been scheduled while the information we’ve received so far from the vet team is that she will require surgery for the right eye, treatment has been prescribed and started for the left and that the little baby will have to remain hospitalized.
We named her Skye – like the sky we promised she’ll keep on seeing. Please donate today so Skye can ward off the darkness, and stay with us for updates.
