Over the last few months our emergency fund has been depleted.
Take a look at some examples of why an emergency fund is critical and if you can, please help us replenish it.
1. Ensures immediate life-saving treatment
Baby Lani came to us with distemper, in a critical condition, hanging on to life by a thread. Our emergency fund allowed us to take her case on, place her in a veterinary clinic and start providing immediate life-saving treatment, before we had managed to receive all details from her rescuer in order to write her story, before we could visit and take photos, before we could discuss her state and prognosis with the vet team, and before we could tell you about her.
Today Leilani is alive and happily adopted.
2. Provides continuous life-saving treatment
Alex was abandoned by his owners, and life as a stray took its toll on him. Alex battled various conditions, then it was discovered he had cancer. Our emergency fund allowed him to start and continue receiving chemotherapy even when his treatment fundraiser campaigns fell short of collecting the required funds.
Alex has now stabilized and improved, and we are still fighting for him.
Please donate today and help rebuild our emergency fund so we can continue saving lives.
