MEET MEOW
Meow is a gentle stray and our latest rescue.
Meow was rescued off the street when kind people noticed that he was limping badly. The sweet boy does not have the use of one of his front legs, he doesn’t put any weight on it and keeps it permanently flexed (folded up).
To find out more about Meow’s leg and start helping him, an examination by a neurology specialist, as well as a series of tests and Xrays are needed. If the issue is not bone fracture then an MRI might be required to investigate deep tissue damage.
The vet team is concerned about the possibility of radial nerve damage, which is one of the most common nerve injuries in cats, causing them to lose the use of the leg, and keep it fully flexed up or drag it on the ground. If severe, radial nerve damage could result in full paralysis of the leg and the need for amputation.
HELP
Meow needs our help if he is to keep his leg. If the injury turns out to be a fracture he will require immediate surgery and any delays will be detrimental to the success of the operation. Please help us help Meow by donating towards the cost of his medical care.
