Nina entered the clinic in the arms of her “owner” that brought her to be euthanized.

She was run over by a car in front of her house, got stuck under the vehicle and dragged along the village main road.

How do we know this? The owner told us.

Nina crawled back home through the muddy fields. Stepping on her injured legs must have been torture for her. Every cat owner knows how delicate their paws are, just have look at this injuries and the video and you will get an idea of what we are facing here.

Nina has four legs, three of them are practically destroyed.

The owner wanted her killed without even trying anything… we asked her to give us ownership so that we could save her life. She accepted immediately and walked away.

This is the challenge. We must save Nina’s life whilst at the same time ensuring mobility and a good quality of life for her. Daily cures on her lacerations as well as an initial operation that will fix her third leg in place so that tissue rebuilds around the exposed bone.

At this stage we are contemplating an ITAP procedure (intraosseous transcutaneous amputation prosthetics) but it will depend on how the injuries evolve and the state in which the bone is left during the healing process. At this time it’s an incognita.

Nina is living in a nightmare, but solving the nightmares of cats is what we do, together.

Please, if you can, help us SAVE NINA’s life today, any amount will help, it’s the combined efforts of many that matters. That’s how miracles happen.

As usual you will be able to follow up Nina’s evolution through this blog or the wall of our Facebook Page: Let’s Adopt! Global

Many thanks

Viktor

Update 31st January

We have tried everything to keep save those two critically injured legs. It couldn’t be. The paws were too damaged, there was no vascularity, we tried everything but it wouldn’t work.

We have amputated both legs at Carpus level, leaving enough bone to apply a prothesis in due course. Amputating is the procedure of last resort, buy xanax nj only to be carried out to save the life of the animal, and that’s precisely what we did here. Had the legs remained in place for longer we would have risk the spreading of infection and Nina would have eventually died.

Nina is obviously quite upset but otherwise she is very well, even when facing such adversity she’s a happy-go-lucky and playful little cat.

—-

Update February 2

Nina doesn’t feel her life is a nightmare anylonger… and she wishes you all a wonderful weekend, even to those that think she would be better off dead right Nina? 🙂

UPDATE February 6

Nina is doing great, she’s in great mood, the stubs of her amputations are healing well..  she eats like a wild lion, and wants to play like the wonderful kitty she is… here is a quick video we took yesterday whilst cleaning up her injuries. There is only one word to describe Nina.. she is just WONDERFUL!!

—-

Update February 7

Nina’s daily cures continue, the healing of the injuries is being very satisfactory, there is no infection and although Nina doesn’t enjoy the cures, she is receiving great pain killers (Buprex) and she’s doing very well…

Update March 25

Nina’s injuries were terrible, horrific, the cures continue…

She’s doing very well, in a great mood, super loving and dying to go home and join her family… but for now.. her treatment MUST continue…

===

UPDATE June 3

Four months have passed since we rescued Nina… four months that have seen two amputations and daily cures to deal with both her physical and mental scars…

This weekend Nina flew to Amsterdam (Holland) where she will continue her rehabilitation until she is ready to go to her final home in the USA… in the meantime, here she is… a totally different cat!

UPDATE 25 of June… it´s been over a year… and this is Nina´s life now..

Nina’s rescue, treatment and rehabilitation could only take place thanks to the contribution of our members and friends to the Let’s Adopt! Medical Fund… without your help, nothing would ever happen…

Please, if you can, consider donating to the Fund today…

Many thanks!

  1. Please save her…I will try and donate to her…

  2. My Siamese looks just like her, and that’s why I have to help. I have donated $30 to help with her surgery. I know it’s such a small amount, and I hope other kind hearted people will do their best to help her get back on her paws. My prayers with you, poor baby.

  3. Ooh poor kitty!!! But there is hope! The same thing happend to my friend’s cat. We are almost certain that he was run over by something and was dragged along. He injured three legs. Not quite so bad as Nina, but still. Anyway, after many procedures and different kinds of operations he healed and recovered totally. It took a looong time but it worked, because we didn’t give up. Now he is playing (only inside) with his brother like nothing have ever happened.
So don’t give up!! There’s lots of different ways to fix Nina.I will follow her recovery closely!!! Blessings!

  4. PAT DEROCHER says:

    U SPELLED DESTROYED WRONG

  5. Jane Heltebrake says:

CRUELTY BEYOND WORDS!!!!!!! The pain which this animal is suffering, is unimaginable.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The so-called “owner,” does not deserve to own any animals….. Prayers that her legs can be saved!!!!!!

  6. Donna Johnston says:

I don’t know what to say. I’ll be praying for Nina, you and her doctors. Oh, and her owner. This would break my heart if my Jessie was ever to be hurt in anyway. It frustrates me so that I am not a person with copious quantities of discretionary funds, but so it is. All I can offer is my love, prayers and encouragement to you in this extraordinary indeavor you have made such a commitment to. If there is a way for me to help I welcome the input.

    Sincerely,
    Donna Johnston

  7. Dion Schwulst says:

Just seems like to much to expect and for her to receive. Sometimes euthanasia is kind ~

Peace for Nina in healing if that is the path taken ~

  8. Viktor I have followed you in every case and I truely believe in miracles . Sometimes though I worry these poor babies are suffering way too much to carry on in some of these cases. You are such a sympathetic man and so very skilled. Please Viktor be sure these babies feel the least amount of pain as possible because they already have been through so very much. Please know I do not put ANY blame on you for having HOPE. I am ALL for YOU my DEAR man. I just HOPE these sweet babies feel no pain or can be put in medically induced comas or something going through all this trauma that they face. It breaks my heart to see this in the first place. To think that a person could set a beautiful dog on fire and leave him to die is beyond comprehension. Thank GOD there are men like you that are skilled enough (and willing) to fix mans mistakes. Thank you Viktor for all that you do . I can not type enough words nor am I talented enough to put into words how I feel about you and your work. All I can say is dont let the assholes that are saying you are doing all this for the wrong reasons get you down. I am here for you along with so many others. HOPE IN NUMBERS Jeannie Beal

  11. Really i wish that this poor kitty will not suffer during operations and recovery would be a great wonder!

  12. Sabrina Gary says:

I would take her if you can transport to Louisville, Ky or New Albany, In.

  13. adela juliana says:

God bless the Dr and the people who care for the cat and yes they need the donations

  14. I . have donated today.God bless her and although in UK I felt I had to do something.Bless you for all your work with Tidus too.

  15. Beryl Sanders says:

Poor little baby….my heart aches for her. I was watching as her paw was being cleaned so carefully but I was wondering, …would it not be easier on the poor little baby to irrigate her wounds softly with water? While watching your video, I was thinking how much pain this poor little girl is feeling. God Bless you for helping this great little girl….I absolutely love animals and when one is rescued, they seem to know that they finally will be alright with someone who loves them. I hope, so much, that you and your Miracle Workers will be able to save her legs and paws so she can have a healthy and happy life without pain. I so lok forward to your posts on Nina,,,Thank you for being you..

  16. Desiree prinsloo says:

Great work dr thanks for technology and the love for cats to make their lifes easier.

  17. Desiree prinsloo says:

Please dr you already decide to try. Cant you give her the same as Oscar if there is a posibility that she is going to loose her legs. Please she is so beautiful.

  18. Oscars surgery cannot be compared to Ninas,Oscars surgery was pioneering surgery at The University of Salford your ‘vets’ could not possibly do this.,Nina will need help with 3 feet? Will you be taking Nina to Salford University for her treatment? If so I will make sure to find time to visit her when she is recuperating! Best wishes Nina! My heartfelt prayers are praying you do not suffer.

  19. I would love to adopt her and continue with her care,Is this possible??

  20. does she have a family yet..if not i would like information on how i can help her get one…unfortunatley i cant send money to help but i send my heart and my prayers

  21. Isabella Ireland says:

I am looking at the healing hands of the doctor who is treating Nina, and these are the hands of a person I profoundly respect. I’ll be sending some money to chip in to help the poor angel. Thank you all for helping her.

  22. I’m sorry WHY put this cat through more HELL AND PAIN, just so you can say you saved her? Her injuries are so SEVERE it seems even more inhumane to put her threw more. Sometimes we NEED to show compassion NOT EGO!

  23. Vanessa Adams says:

Why would the owner do that?! It’s clear that he/she is not fit to own a pet! I’ll donate some money to poor Nina.

  24. Get well Nina, i hope my donation will make your healing more quicker

  25. did the sorry owner show any emotion or remorse? I wonder if they are the ones responsible. makes me sick

  26. jean thornley says:

WHAT KIND OF OWNER WALKS AWAY FROM HER SWEET KITTY LIKE THIS

  27. Linda Somers says:

This poor dear cat. I am sending $5.00 towards her care. I know its not much, but I know it will help a little. I am so sorry for this little cat. I am so glad you decided to give her a chance. If it had been my cat, I would have wanted to save her. But..I refuse to let my cats outside. It is very dangerous out there. Please keep your cats inside so they are safe!!! And thank you again Viktor for all you do!

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Thank you Linda.. check the last update.. I think you will love to see her.

  28. sandra grainger says:

I am an huge animal lover and rescue cats myself but Im soryy I just DO NOT AGREE with what you are doing. You are trying to play God and you are not God. A true animal lover would not put an animal through such intense long term pain. Even if she lives she will no longer be able to climb trees, chase a field mouse or do most of the things cats love doing. So get off the ego trip and do what is right and put the darling cat to sleep peacefully.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Well… I have cats and my cats are indoors. None of them hunt mice either.
Many cats in the world don’t do all things cats are meant to do.
She’ll be able to do other things… much more than being dead.
Death is the end… think about it.

  29. DAWN SCHAFFER says:

THIS HURTS ME DEEPLY BEAUSE I HAVE A CAT ALSO,I HOPE SHE WELL PULL THROUGH HER LEG IS BAD,GOD BLESS THIS CAT

  30. Was NINA saved yesterday

  31. Was NINA saved yesterday I hope she was

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Dear Heather… yes.. she was.. pls check the latest update 🙂

  32. Cheryl Mavrikos says:

    Hi Viktor,

I’m about to leave a donation for poor little Nina, whose story has broken my heart. Wish I could donate more, but I’m in debt right now. The number “18” means LIFE in Hebrew (Chai), so hopefully my $18.00 will help buy Nina more time in this world.

Please keep us updated as to her progress (I have this website bookmarked). I hope this poor baby will make it.

  33. What happened to her? is she ok?

  34. Please help Nina, poor little cat. We will be praying for her. Thank you Viktor and team.

Great implants on Oscar the cat do glad he can walk again.

  35. Angel Mariani says:

PRAYERS, AND MORE PRAYERS FOR SWEET NINA! <3

  36. Did you ever think that the owner could not afford to help her and thought that it was better to stop her pain? Why is there no way to help owners who can not afford the care needed. Maybe the owner does not even have health care for themselves. We need to start looking at ways to help people keep their pets.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

In Spain there is universal healthcare… 🙂
but yes, you are right, we help as many as we can.

  37. Brenda Kunce says:

Viktor, It is simply amazing what you do with animal…..Your blogs have surprised me twice now once with Goldie and now with Nina….Please keep up your awesome and dedicated work with and for animals!!! I am certainly going to try and help….I wish I could do more but I am unemployed but want to do something. God Bless you Viktor and also the others who work so hard to save the animals!!! Have a wonderful day:)

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Thank you Brenda… by the way, Goldie is still with us… chilling at home… doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere for now.. 🙂

  38. Honestly don’t fault the owner. Not everyone is knowledgeable to know that this cat had a shot at living. The owner did want the cat to be treated because you said she accepted immediately.

I do hope this cat gets another chance at life and has a long happy one.

  39. From yesterday to today, she looks like a totally different cat! I was in tears over her pics yesterday but today the light in her eyes shows the difference in her. I have seen many stories of cats with permanent prosthetic legs and they can walk, run and play just like they had never had an amputation. I will definitely be praying for Nina and all the other animals you rescue, Viktor!

  40. Great work! I am so relieved that she has made it through and with little amputation. Get well Nina!

  41. Sharon Steffen says:

I agree. I have 4 indoor cats who do not climb trees or chase mice, but they do have lots of love from me, a warm home, bed or lap, good food and the companionship of each other. Wishing Nina the best. Thank you Victor and your team.

  42. Beryl Sanders says:

she is being played with. It is so very sad that she will have to lose 2 legs,..but I am thinking how fortunate she will be if she is fitted with the blades that a brilliant Doctor fitted a beautiful black and white cat with….which in itself, is absolutely fantastic. God Bless you little Nina. I am so happy to read that Goldie is still enjoying the good life….

  43. Mary Coffey says:

I am torn. I love my pets. But after seeing this and having broke both my ankles in 2010, and amputation a possibility of my left foot. I’m not sure this is the right thing to do. I still have many problem’s with that foot. Swelling and pain. If an animal could talk I might feel different. We have no way of knowing the level of pain. For this reason I think I would have to euthanize my pet. The long term is unknown. I think sometimes the want to fix is going to far. Sometimes letting go is the lesser of the two evils.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Hi Mary… I see your point, but come on, did you consider ending your own life or you are doing all you can to heal?

  44. Tim Dawson says:

Nice job Viktor, I worry sometimes about the further pain that they may be going through. However I feel as you do. Death is the END, the Ultimate. And being alive is better then being dead. Thank You for your work!!

  45. Stew Simon says:

Best wishes for this poor kitty!
    I made a donation…

  46. Brittany Beecroft says:

    Viktor,
Thank-you for being so dedicated to saving the lives of these poor animals. It angers me that some people think you should just let Nina die. I am willing to bet that if she was one of their pets they would do the same darn thing. These animals you save have done nothing to not deserve a second chance. Someone commented that you should not try and play god.. Does that mean if a human is injured a doctor should not help save there life and just let them die? To me there is no difference. Again Viktor I say thanks to you and your team. You are all amazing. God Bless you all!

  47. Villa in San Francisco says:

She’s feisty and looks like she’ll make it. I’m donating to help pay for her antibiotics. It’s a blessing to be able to support your hospital. Thank you so much for posting in English, Viktor.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

      Many many thanks… thank you…
It’s not our hospital… we are the clinic’s clients. If we had our own clinic we would be doing sooo much more.. a dream for the future, certainly.
      Love
      Viktor

You are a beautiful soul, Victor! Ignore those who think you’re playing god or being egotistic whenever you try to prolong these lives. You give them a chance many so-called “humans” will not even try to do.

  49. You are a beautiful soul, Victor!! You and those volunteers! Ignore those who say you’re just playing god or being egotistic whenever you do all you can to help these poor creatures. If they can’t feel such care in their hearts, they’re not even humans. They don’t help and they still say bad things about those who do. What kind of creatures are they?

  50. Nelda Percival says:

You and the team who help these animals must be so strong. I can’t help but cry every time I visit this site. But you give me hope too, you work everyday with desperate situations. You give these babies so much love!

It may be my last dollar but I’ll always donate something, because pennies become dollars and dollars become thousands.

And if one person gives a small amount then it becomes what is needed.

Thank you Viktor, Thank you the people who work there Thank you the Drs who treat these babies.

Thank you God for giving us these wonderful care givers. I just wish there were more like them.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Thank you Nelda… words can’t express my gratitude… thank you

  51. Nelda Percival says:

Goldie is still alive! wonderful he gets more love!

  52. Mary Ann Smale says:

Praying for you and the wonderful people who helped you sweet Nina!!

  53. Linda Somers says:

Poor little sweetie! Such a little trooper! I am so happy to see she is able to play!!! I I am upset by the comment of Sandra Grainger. I pity a cat that belongs to her and gets hurt. She seems like a mean person who truely doesn’t love animals. Viktor is a wonderful person and I don’t like to see mean comments like that. Nina is a lucky girl to have Viktor in her corner!!! Can’t wait for new updates!!!

  54. Béatrice says:

    Well
What can I say… once more : if int he world we shoud have more “Viktor”, maybe it would be better…
In their badnesss, all those poor animals have one chance : to meet you !
You’re Great Viktor ! Thank you for what you are and what you do

    Béatrice

  55. So happy to see her doing better, and seem like she’s really not in pain anymore. Really appreciate what you did with all those poor animals, you give them a second chance at life. I wish there will be more people like you in the world.
Thanks you for all you have done and continue doing!

  56. susan o;shea says:

yet once again you have done it Viktor thank god for people like you Nina is a beautiful little girl

  57. For the ones who just say kill er why spend the money..I would give you and punch to the face !…and those who say she is suffering end her pain..YES..she WAS suffering very much..she could not have gone on the way she was nor should she have…many animals get hurt like this from many reasons including being hit by cars and lay someplace in tormented pain until they finally die…..GOD what suffering they go through…..after too long and no way to even try maybe of course you would do something to stop it….but as BAD as she looked, she does not need her legs to be healthy and alive and enjoy life again….
CATS DO NOT BELONG OUTSIDE!…..sadly there are cats who have to live to survive outside they usually have very short lives…..people who have cats who lket them go out to climb trees and eat mice…put your cats at dangers unecessarily….CARS, SOCIOPATHS, POISON, why would you do that?….I do get tired of hearing animals being hurt, killed, run over because “well my cat likes to go outside” of course they do!….You are supposed to be caring enough to either make them an outside RUN complete with trees INSIDE the enclosure with an opening from the home directly inside the enclosure, you can even build one around a tree!…..gives them grass, trees, sunshine, fresh air and safety from predators animal ans human alke and cars!……
yes Mary I too understand pain because I have severe pain every day, can hardly walk 2 feet, here in US we have no health Care nless you can really afford it or something…me, I have none …to treatment for my crippling injuries and pain….I would like to remove my legs….funny isnt that? But my legs I could do without and get along fine if I had not the pain of them there!……so can this sweet heart…..healing is the main thing…..her spirits seem good, I am sure she is on BUPRENEX for pain or something good and antibotics…..YES I would at this point feel if I had my legs which are broken and unrepaired due to no medical care able to have them fixed, just removed them, so I can at least have a life…without constant pain……….I would never say put an animal to sleep unless something could not be fixed, with no hope of healing or repair…..and if with all the medication and care given available and still nothing to be done…then……not until……………..she will do fine I pray!
KISSES TO GOLDIE!!!!!!! <3…and the other babies Kola and all of them 🙂

  58. Carlene Coulon says:

Thank God there are Vets like you out there. I have a cat that looks almost like the one you are healing. I would pray if anything would happen to my cat his Vet. would be like you. chank you for all you do.:)

  59. There is, undoubtedly, a special place in heaven for you. I am in awe of what you do for animals. There’s simply no other words, other thank ‘Thank You’, and those words don’t feel like enough.

  60. Rebecca Blubaugh says:

Viktor, It is so heartwarming to see Nina doing so well this soon after her surgery! Show the tenacity of the felines to want to live! Looking forward to seeing how she does with the prosthesis; will she get both or only one and then need a cart at some point?

Loved seeing the sneak peek at Kola too, I have been wondering about her.

Two very fortunate felines to have been rescued by you and your organization! Blessed Be!

  61. Christina Lancaster says:

Viktor… can u please clone yourself and send to NY, then another to each other state? 😉

I too have been criticized for trying to save my cats… I’m glad you march to the beat of your own drum and have the ability and resources to save these babies.

Good deeds never go unpunished you know?

    Take care… 😉

  62. @Tonya. If you haven’t watched the video of Oscar, then please do so. He lost both his back legs and was fitted with prosthetics. He is doing fine. Also check out Anakin the Two Legged Cat – you’ll find it here on Facebook and YouTube. Anakin was born without back legs or even a pelvis. It doesn’t stop him doing anything. As for Nina, she has the look of determination in the second pic from last. Her eyes say it all. There is fire and determination in them. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago, saving a horrifically injured cat like Nina might have been impossible but with the advances in medical science, no longer so. I hope, pray that Nina will be one of those who will prove the negative commenters wrong and make as good a recovery as possible then be adopted by kind, loving people. Please. Have a little faith.

  63. VISNIKAR Corinne says:

Thank you for this sweet Nina, and for all the animals you do miracles on.
You are great ! Thank you for them all.
Do all this cats and dogs find homes after being in your gold hands ?
    Nice greatings.

  64. Lori Wise says:

What an amazing thing you are doing. Taking hopeless cases and giving them dreams again of a new and wonderful life. Thank you for your good works and may God bless and keep you.

  65. Oh she looks do much better and happier and I’m glad to hear she has a new home to go too.
    Thanks again!!

  66. R Keldarion says:

I saw a video of a kitten that was born without his back two legs and he was happily playing, having no clue that anything was wrong. As far as he was concerned, cats with four legs were weird. So, I am thinking Nina will be OK. As for the pain issues, there are painkillers cats can have, and perhaps the person who takes her will just have to slip her a dose now and then. She certainly seems happy enough, and young enough to make a full recovery. I agree that the injury looked fatal, and certainly her efforts to get home didn’t help. If you can fix it, though, and give the animal quality of life, by all means, go for it. My cats are indoor kitties and some people think that’s cruel because they don’t get to go out and hunt and climb trees but we all know indoor kitties live a lot longer. Cruel is in the eye of the beholder sometimes. Blessings to Nina!

  67. Sandie Falish says:

Viktor….You and your team are really amazing! Thank you for everything you do for the animals….You are an angel!! 🙂 <3

  68. Carole Sweeney-Roemer says:

I totally agree with the Doctor. All should be done to try and help the animal and or person. Nina seems fine and with modern methods they have now which they did not have 43 years ago when I had a cat that was born unable to use his hind legs. Now they would have had the wheels for my Sweetie pie. Bless all of you and shame on her owner. I do understand her feelings must have been very frightening. BUT imagine how the cat felt. Where there is life there is hope. God bless you Doctor

  69. Laysa Lopulisa says:

I’m so happy to see Kola n Nina doing well. I did donate via the ‘promote’- link, so I could donate via iDeal bank of the Netherlands, but is it possible to donate directly to the IBAN-account of the institution of ‘Let’s Adopt Global’ ??
Pls pls let me know, thank you in advance.

  70. I am glad to see that she is doing so well! <3 She is so sweet!

I would love to be able to adopt this cat, I am a cat lover, and have had a Siamese cat who had to have his leg amputated because someone stole him and slammed his leg into a door and broke it, causing it to end up with Cancer a few years later. Just because an animal loses it’s limb does not mean it should be destroyed or is useless. Animals often teach us what real love is all about.

  72. Hi Viktor….I can understand in a way what Mary said. I dont think humans bounce back from big surguries like our fur babies do. I went through breast cancer twice with a tramplap that resulted in 7 more corrective surgeries since. I am a survivor now for 17 years and am very happy to still be alive but do live with alot of pain. I understand though we must trudge on and learn all we can so we can save lives ( animal or human). I so admire your talent and am so glad you are here for our babies. Keep moving forward Viktor and for heavens sake dont give this wonderful journey up. I own a store for women with cancer issues for 8 years now. Getting cancer inspired me to open my store to help other women with wigs and prothesis, to help them feel whole again while going through this horrible thing called CANCER. Keep us updated Good luck little babies. Jeannie Beal Accente’ Caring For Women

  73. Viktor, great job with the cats, I am very proud of the work you do and it is great to see that someone uses the advances in medicine and technology to help these animals.

To you people who think that euthanisia is a humane option for these animals. When your loved one, your child, husband, wife, friend, has been dragged under a car would you consider pulling the plug on them because their legs are mangled? What makes the animals any different? We are all gods creatures and should help them in all way possible. Not just “put them out of their misery”. If this happened to my wife I wouldn’t just say “Oh, well the recovery process is going to be painful, we should just put you out of your misery” what kind of person would that make me?

    Think about it.

Again, Viktor I will continue to donate to Let’s Adopt. Continue the great work!

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Many thanks Marc… I promise you we’ll never stop… well continue doing what we do for as long as we are standing.

  79. yvonne olsen says:

Viktor!!! normally i am 100% behind you, in what you are doing, but i this case i am not sure if this was the right thing to do? i am just not sure how the quality of her life will be? There will be a lot of things she can`t do anymore.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69FcQbFJMcw Here.. totally the right thing to do. There will be a lot of things she won’t be able to do, heck, there are a lot of things I AM NOT ABLE TO DO… but she’ll be fine, shell be loved, shell have an amazing home and above all, she’ll be alive.

  80. yvonne kearsley says:

ah god bless her, i hope everything goes okay for her, i did donate it wasn’t a lot as i am not working at the moment but you are doing good work in helping these poor defenseless animals it makes me cry when i see them in a state

  81. Just watched the latest video. Poor, brave little Nina. Even with painkillers cleaning the stumps must be so painful for her. As the stumps heal, the pain will lessen. I am so glad there is no sign of infection and I have the feeling that Nina will be just fine eventually. Viktor. Please give Nina a cuddle and a kiss from me xxx

  82. Ana Chavez says:

My precious cat Zircon was hit by a car years a go and broke his front paw and pelvis. The vet here asked if he could put a pin in, as he had done this type of surgery on a dog, but never a cat. Zircon was a large Russian Blue, strong and healthy, besides being broken at that time. He recovered and although I was told he would never be an athlete, he again ran and climbed trees and enjoyed life. I miss him as he is over the Rainbow bridge now, but he wanted to live and so do all these animals that Viktor and LAG rescue. Thank you Viktor.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Many thanks Ana.. glad Zircon is doing well 🙂

  85. Christine Nisbet - London, UK says:

To Sandra Grainger and Tonya: I pray that if either of you are ever in a nasty accident and are all smashed up, that euthanasia on humans has not at that point become legal….because if you are and it is, God help you if someone like YOU gets to make the decision!

To Mary Coffey: You say you broke your ankles and was in a great deal of pain, would you have chosen death for yourself over the pain? No? Then why choose that for Nina?

Nina struggled home despite the overwhelming odds and intense pain, why was that do you think, because she wanted to be killed after all her efforts? No, because she wanted to LIVE! Viktor gave her the chance of life when her owner gave up! This man is better than any of you or me, and his videos are not an ego trip, they are an attempt to secure much needed funding so that he can continue his remarkable work!

My own cat went missing for 3 weeks and when found had a smashed up pelvis and his tail had to be amputated. I could have had him put to sleep, but I didn’t, I bankrolled my vets remarkable efforts and after surgery and 8 weeks of rehabilitation my boy is back. He has a slight limp and no tail, but he’s back and he’s happy! You three would have had him put down.

Shame on you people, shame on you!

God bless you Viktor, keep up the good work!

Can I set up a regular donation though Paypal?

    Chrissy

  86. Oh I love her so much! I have a cat with three legs, she’s happy as can be. I’m hopeful for Nina.

  87. I find it interesting that so many have so much to say about what Viktor is doing. I think you are missing the point. He is DOING. You may not agree with his stance on euthanasia but the fact is he is in the trenches helping. Before you tell Viktor what to do, please ask yourself what is it that you are doing.

  88. How is Nina doing? Any updates?

  89. I am in tears watching the wonderful work you are performing on Nina. I know that God is there with you and guiding you every step of the way with Nina’s cure. I am a Veterinarian assistant and when i watch these wonderful miracles happen, It makes me want to go back to school to become a vet. When finances allow! Thank you for everything that you do. 🙂

  90. Julie Robbs says:

Viktor you are an amazing doctor with a beautiful heart and a staff of angels !! You have changed the lives for so many innocent dogs/cats who would have otherwise never had a chance. You are truly passionate at giving these animals the life they deserve to live. To you Viktor and all of those who stand beside you I say “Thank You” for without you and your amazing work many lives would not be here today. God Bless You.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Julie… many thanks for your words but I’m not a doctor.. I’m just someone that pushes doctors to work at the limit of their abilities…
Many many thanks, Ill pass your words to our surgeons.
      Viktor

  91. Viktor ,Good to see that Nina is doing so well which in your and your teams hands anything seems like a miracle. Thank you Barbara P

  92. You guys are amazing that you care so much and do everything thing you can to keep these beautiful souls alive and give them new homes! I wish I had more money so that I could donate but for now I make sure I share your posts to others that could maybe donate and at least share your stories and remind others that there are still wonderful and loving people in this world still !!! Keep up the amazing work you all do!!

  93. THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING, I WISH I CAN. ONE DAY I WILL.. FEEL BETTER BABY

  94. Charmaine Morgan says:

Hi Victor you and your team do amazing work with the animals, sending blessings and healing to Nina. She looks like my siamese girl. I have 9 cats and my babies do not run in the street. They have a cat run joined to my house, so I know they can enjoy the sunshine safely. I would do the same if that was my cat, I would not just euthanise my cat. I get so frustrate with people who think that killing them is the only option.

  95. Pauline Badger says:

I am a medical scientist in imaging and research and also a psychologist, my own three cats are very precious to me. I am donating to the care and life of this lovely ‘personality’ as the temperament shines through. I would love to know that Nina is doing fine.

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Many thanks Pauline… thank you… we will keep you posted.. xxx

  96. Joëlle, from Brussels says:

Hi dear Viktor, any update on Nina please? How’s she doing? Thanks in advance!

  97. I’m currently in a hard position of either putting my beloved 6year old cat to sleep or to have his hind leg amputated. Unsure of what to do but by the sounds of this it’ll be awhile before he’ll be happy again, it seems a little cruel to have him depressed and unable to do the things he loves doing but it also seems cruel to put him to sleep.
    Any advise?

    1. Viktor Larkhill says:

Yes.. Amputate. In a week hell be jumping up and down the sofa and you’ll be crying of joy.
Would you kill a man because he had to loose a leg?

  98. Viktor que dios te siga bendiciendo no tienes idea de comole pido a dios que me una suerte para darte ati por todo loque tu haces, porque cada ves que veo loque haces mi corazon llora de alegria al saber que aun hay gente buena en este mundo. Gracias

  99. clare elliott says:

To all the people who are calling Viktors’ work an ego trip, cruel etc…would you say that to his face? You all seem very quick to judge, but I would love to hear your feelings for euthanasia for humans….as soon as you replace a human for an animal in ethically challenged situations,it seems so very different-and yet it shouldnt…remember the mote in your own eye, messagers!

  100. Viktor and Team. Thank you so much for saving Nina. What a Wonderful Kitty she is….such a fighter all the way…. 🙂 She will have the life she deserves now. Poor owner giving up on her like that until you step in as always with your heart full of Love and Compassion….Love to you all, XX

  103. Wendy Mead says:

Viktor, did Nina end up getting prosthetics like Dr Fitzpatrick has perfected. Just have great admiration for a man like him who gives animals the same chances as humans when loss of limbs occur.

Cheers and keep up the good work. I am sorry I cannot donate but now have my own cat sanctuary…. to keep going…lol

  104. J. Martin says:

What an amazing touching story and I’m so glad you saved Nina’s life! This poor cat went through a horrid accident. After that short time .. she looks “Perfect”. Your staff did a fantastic job on her .. I give you a earned round of applause and the utmost respect for not giving up on her. I hope she finds a loving forever home and lives out the remainder of her life … Happy & LOVED!!!!
