Viktor, ……Please help…FOZZY’S BOWLES ARE OBSTRUCTED BY THE BREAK IN THE PELVIS AND HE WILL BURST IF WE DON’T MOVE QUICKLY.
I need your help with this dog. It is above our abilities.
I am sending you the x-rays (our vet has an x-ray machine now).
Fozzie was hit by a vehicle….his pelvis is broken on both sides.
• The RIGHT hind leg has some sort of neurological damage and he can’t feel anything. (There is NO break in the spine.)
• The LEFT side has the greater break that is CUTTING OFF THE BOWLES.
Our vet’s don’t have the experience and will go in on a trial and error. If they get it wrong we may not be able to save his legs.
PLEASE LOOK AT THE X-RAYS AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN HELP.
Every vet I have met wants to euthanise him because he is too much trouble. I am swarmed with cases and not enough help. I need your help.

And then she attached a picture and an X-ray that showed PRECISELY what I imagined… Fozzie, a beautiful stray dog with soulful eyes completely unable to move due to a double fracture that kept him pinned to the ground in that awkward position we know so well…
A double fractured hip… and it had JUST HAPPENED…
There was no time to waste, every day decreases his chances of a full recovery so we organised Fozzie´s immediate flight to us..

Fozzie is now under observation, his blood levels are acceptable and his condition is a medical emergency, so he will be operated as soon as our surgeon is available, that is, on Wednesday 7th… first thing in the morning.
There was no time to waste and we coordinated his complicated flight out of Greece in record time. Please help us now perform the operation that will make him recover the use of his legs.
We have just 24 hours to raise the funds for Fozzie´s treatment and rehabilitation.

FOZZIE HAS BEEN OPERATED!!! EVERYTHING WENT WELL!!!
IT WAS A FOUR HOUR SURGERY… BOTH FRACTURES, LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE, HAVE BEEN FIXED!!!
Once in surgery we realised that the fracture was older than we thought it was, still, we believe Fozzie stands a great chance of recovery.
In coming days Fozzie will have to, literally, learn to walk again..
We´ll let Fozzie rest tomorrow and we hope we´ll be able to start reporting on his progress by Friday…
Everything looks good… FOZZIE´S RECOVERY BEGINS TODAY!!!

FOZZIE IS UP, and he is ready to take on the world!!
