HELP US SAVE CHACHA, A PUG WITH TWO MASSIVE STONES INSIDE HER
The current economic crisis affecting most of the world is wreaking havoc in families that previously felt secure, safe, that had plans and dreams for the future. Many of those dreams have been put on hold, or scrapped altogether. And at times, those families resolve has been put to the test in ways they never expected.
I met them this morning. A beautiful young family, living in Spain for the last five years. They arrived from Ecuador looking for a better life in one of the brightest economies in Europe and by the time they landed they found themselves literally trapped in paradise. The husband, Luis, used to flip burgers and ribs in a fast food establishment before the restaurant closed down, Rosa cleans homes, their beautiful and kind daughter goes to school and dreams of being a nurse, sometimes she accompanies her mother to the homes she cleans and gives her a hand.
Five years ago, when they arrived, someone took them to the local shelter and they adopted Chacha, a pug that had been dumped by the owners because of an unspecified health issue. For five years beautiful Chacha, a little firecracker of a pug has had a great life with this loving family. She’s been loved and spoiled to no end. Just have a look at the two videos here, and you will understand.
For the last few months Chacha has been very ill… the family took her to the vet and they couldn’t figure out what it was, until they finally took an Xray and they saw it, there, crystal clear.
Chacha has developed TWO BLADDER STONES, Two and half centimeters each that, to put it simply, are hurting her like hell. As a result she whimpers in pain most of the time, her character has changed. Anyone that has had stones, either in the bladder of the kidneys can tell you.. it’s hell.. it’s fire down there.
The family is willing to do whatever it takes to save her life but due to their circumstances, they just can’t afford the operation Chacha so desperately needs.
So there I was… Chacha was crying, the family was crying… I resisted, gulped a few times and ended up crying too!.
I, on behalf of Let’s Adopt! have promised this family that we are going to take care of their baby, that we are going to operate CHACHA, restore her health and allow their family to remain together.
When you face a crisis you know who your friends are, this poor family faced a crisis and they discovered they had no friends. And then, by an incredible stroke of luck, they met Let’s Adopt! Global, they met YOU.
Let’s rally together, once again, and let’s do something inspiring and far reaching. Sometimes as important as saving a little pug that is going through hell…
Update September 12
Chacha has been operated… the problem was much worst than we thought..
She didn’t only had bladder stones.. she also had Cistical endometrial Hiperplasia, with Pyometra.. we had to empty her…
This operation saved her life.
