BIANKA, doing well (but in the wrong hands)
First of all I want to apologize for the lack of recent news and send you an update about Bianka.
Bianka is doing GREAT!… The first operation practiced in Madrid was a great success. The surgeon, Tomas Fernandez did a great job, of a extraordinary finesse. This was the most difficult operation Bianka will go through and I am extremely happy to tell you that so far it’s been a great success. Bianka is well, she eats wet food and wags the tail knowing that she has a long life ahead of her.
Unfortunately the rest of the rescue has been a succession of catastrophic events that have put a temporary stop to our normal activity.
In an absolutely appalling turn of events and the ultimate display of ingratitude Cristina Munoz and her friends, the people that rescued Bianka and literally begged us to take over the case and not only heal her but find her a home decided that we would be no longer necessary and that she would take the dog away.
Let’s Adopt! did it’s outmost to protect Bianka and we put a temporary halt to visits, by anyone. We considered that in this period of convalescence Bianka would be safer without being constantly moved out of her place, certainly not a time when she was still being fed through a tube.
Those people’s position hardened, and they then turned against the clinic, placing a complaint for illegal appropriation of goods (according to Spanish law Bianka is a THING). They sued the very same medical team that had saved Bianka’s life.
Then, on Saturday 16 we were informed of the possibility that Bianka could be released to Animal Control as a precautionary measure whilst a dispute was studied by the courts. At that stage, we understood that the other party couldn’t care less about the risk of Bianka ending up at the pound, she would either get Bianka or risk Bianka’s death.
It was a heartbreaking moment but at that stage the only thing we could do was to hand Bianka over and hope, and pray, that she will be well cared for.
What started as desperate request for help ended up in a public lynching organized and prompted byGord Macey, writer of the infamous canadian blog, Toronto Pet Daily and his network of pathetic slanderers that have been so busy at undermining our work for over a year now. We are victims of the biggest slander campaign towards a animal rescue organization every conducted in this country. But we are going to get to the bottom of this and I give you my word that they people responsible for this campaign will find themselves in court soon.
Once again, Bianka is well, recovering and healing nicely under the medical team we selected for her… and that’s what really matters to us at this stage.
On the other hand, Cristina Munoz, the woman that brought us all to this unfortunate situation, “Bianka’s mum” as she called herself, has now put her daughter, Bianka up for adoption.
The Law of the State of Massachussets were Let’s Adopt! Global is legally registered requests that I write to you and offer to return your donations if you so wish. On the other hand I can also ask you to continue trusting us and allow us to continue using those funds to continue our daily work rescuing animals around the world. Animals like Cosette, that is about to be operated of a broken back that got her paralyzed.
Cosette has been extremely grave due to a lingering anemia, now that she’s fully recovered it is the moment for her to walk again. I would want to ask you to allow us to use what is left of Bianka’s fund to save Cosette’s life… Otherwise you can write to me on firstname.lastname@example.org and ask me to return your donation that will be returned promptly.
