This is an amazing story, and we are going to need your help spreading it all over Facebook and Twitter…

A lion and a marmoset fell in love. But the lion was too large. The lion went to the Buddha and told him of his woes. The Buddha allowed the lion to shrink down to the size of the marmoset. And the Pekingese was the result.

Let the Lion Dog be small; let it wear the swelling cape of dignity around its neck; let it display the billowing standard of pomp above its back.
Let its face be black; let its forefront be shaggy; let its forehead be straight and low.
Let its eyes be large and luminous; let its ears be set like the sails of war junk; let its nose be like that of the monkey god of the Hindus.
Let it venerate its ancestors and deposit offerings in the canine cemetery of the Forbidden City on each new moon.
So shall it remain – but if it dies, remember thou too art mortal.
Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Dowager Cixi
“This little dog was found by me in the Palace of Yuan-Ming-Yuan near Pekin on the 6th of October 1860. It is supposed to have belonged to either the Empress, or one of the ladies of the Imperial Family. It is a most affectionate and intelligent little creature – it has always been accustomed to being treated as a pet and it was with the hope that it might be looked upon as such by Her Majesty and the Royal Family that I have brought it from China.” John Hart Dunne, Captain, 99th Regt.

I have used three Quotes that illustrate the Pekingese ancient lineage. One of the oldest breeds in the world, genetically, one of the closest to the wolf…
Andre certainly has royal genes but his life hasn’t been a fairy tale. Born in Kuwait, a desert kingdom in the Arabian peninsula, Andre must have belonged to a rich family with a penchant for exotic breeds. For a while, Andre must have lived in the lap of luxury, sadly, this was not to last.

On November the 20th, Andre was found in the trash can in backstreet in Kuwait city. Volunteers of the rescue group Desert Dogs Kuwait heard his cries and found him covered in excrement and unable to move. A quick visit to the vet confirmed a spinal injury, trauma, the leading cause of death of all Pekingese. We will never know what kind of trauma caused him to remain paralyzed for life. Was it an accident? Was it intentional? Andre is not telling much… and we have no way of finding out.

Andre was nursed back to health by a loving family that has been fostering since his rescue, but he cannot remain there for much longer. It is time for Andre, the desert lion, to find a home of his own. Andre has an incredible character, loving and loyal, patient. He must know and understand his condition, he knows he is not in a position to act spoiled like so many other toy dogs do… Andre is grateful for the second chance he has been given and he is making the most out of life one day at a time…

Andre is looking for his final home. A family that will be as loving as caring as a dog with his sad past and his current condition needs.

Let’s Adopt! Global will pay for his journey home, wherever this may be, so the family must not be scared about adopting buy adderall online a dog from overseas. Well take care of all that.

Look at him… are you Andre’s new family? Then write to me on viktor@myletsadopt. (needless to say only serious applications will be answered. “I want Andre” is NOT a serious application).

Please help us find a home for this extraordinary dog, son of the lion and the monkey that somehow found himself broken in the desert.

Please help Andre, SHARE this post in all your social networks.
