Nokta ( ? – 2010)
Nokta has left us this morning…
She did so whilst resting peacefully in Cagri’s arms.
I cannot bring myself to write today. For those of you that never met her, here is her story…

Janette Hamilton says:
It is with tears in my eyes that I write this. I cry at the passing of every dog not just my own, especially when death is so senseless and could have been prevented were Nokta not a street dog. It breaks my heart to think of all those poor animal with no one to love and care for them. As always when something like this happens I find myself taking solace in the knowledge that for the last days of her life Nokta knew what it meant to be loved. We wish that she had known more of it, but she left us a healed soul and for that we will do it all again with the next one who comes along. Saving one dog does not make a big impact on the world, but it makes a big impact on the world of that one dog and that is what makes it worth while. Good-bye sweet Nokta, see you at the Rainbow Bridge.
JANE BAKER says:
I will say my farewells sweet Nokta. I didn’t know you personally, but knew of you and your struggle to hang on to life, but it was just too late these beautiful people found you!!! You were a beautiful little soul who at least knew love at the end, and you went to the bridge knowing what love is. Now you are with all the other angels who passed on and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge!!! Rest in Peace sweet little angel, you have love now!!!!!!
Carole Clifford says:

We accompany the child in our hearts to a better life … Infinite thanks to Cagri that it has the little ones at least for a few moments, the experience can be given that she is loved … thank you!
Rana says:
I’m so sorry…so sorry…so sorry…
Aida says:
All animals deserve to be protected, loved, and allowed to enjoy a quality of life. Notice how Nokta just enjoyed being with people, truely unconditional Love and Acceptance. If this planet were be to be “graded” by another world, they would probably give us a “-D” (D minus). However, because of loving and caring people like Cagri and Viktor, this is the ONLY reason this world of ours does not receive a “failing grade” and is deemed “unfit to continue”.
It’s strange that some people will value cold, lifeless things – such as money, jewels, metals, etc, – will protect, insure, and even kill over them. Yet, living and loving animals they will throw them out, torture them, and treat them as something not worth existing.
Thank the Heaven’s for “Let’s Adopt” and for people such as Viktor and Cagri. This Compassion and Goodness is the ONLY thing that is keeping this world going..
Bob says:
RIP Nokta…..et plein de bonheur dans l’autre vie !!
Jodie York says:
Nokta, I love you. Cagri, I love you. Viktor, Fulya and everyone at Let’s Adopt!, I love you. Blessings on you for you efforts.
ayfer says:
RIP……she had happy times with you……..and maybe first and last time in her life she was loved she was treated like a pet….thank you
Misha says:
Because I have no wise words to offer, I am using Rumi’s to send some comforting thoughts to all my Let’s Adopt! tribe members….
When I die…
when my coffin
is being taken out
you must never think
i am missing this world
don’t shed any tears
don’t lament or
feel sorry
i’m not falling
into a monster’s abyss
when you see
my corpse is being carried
don’t cry for my leaving
i’m not leaving
i’m arriving at eternal love
when you leave me
in the grave
don’t say goodbye
remember a grave is
only a curtain
for the paradise behind
you’ll only see me
descending into a grave
now watch me rise
how can there be an end
when the sun sets or
the moon goes down
it looks like the end
it seems like a sunset
but in reality it is a dawn
when the grave locks you up
that is when your soul is freed
have you ever seen
a seed fallen to earth
not rise with a new life
why should you doubt the rise
of a seed named human
have you ever seen
a bucket lowered into a well
coming back empty
why lament for a soul
when it can come back
like Joseph from the well
when for the last time
you close your mouth
your words and soul
will belong to the world of
no place no time

Alicia says:
No words are needed a beautiful dog was saved because Nokta knew the meaning of love, if only for a short while it was better than none. The heartache remains with the people fighting to save Nokta and countless others.
Sending love and gentle hugs also hope for the next Nokta.
Layla Morgan Wilde says:
My heart aches for your loss. She is at peace now and her legacy of love lives on. Every story opens hearts wider. Wider hearts means more hope. XOXOXO

One day, months or years from now, the weight that’s in your heart will become a light, and it will be Nokta. My love to you all who made her short time here one of comfort and love.

I’m sorry Viktor it’s always hard to lose a friend. Your girl Nokta had a wonderful ending, it was full of love and friendship and safety because of people like you and Cagri. She crossed that Rainbow Bridge a happy Dog.
I buried 3 beloved Chihuahua’s this past year and I’ve shed many tears. I have 5 more that are all over the age of 12 so I know there are more tears to come.
