Alone
Dear Friends,
The post today is not about animals but about people. It is about people and its about change.
Let’s Adopt has completely changed the animal protection environment.
From seemingly out of nowhere arrived a group of single minded individuals who was totally committed to change the status quo.
What was the status quo before the emergency of Let’s Adopt? It should be easy for all of you to remember as it wasn’t so long ago.
Alone.
Alone is the the way you felt for so long watching events unfold around you. Municipalities engaging in criminal behavior and systematic lying, pet owners failing to honor their basic promise to animals abandoning them to a merciless life on the streets, vasts numbers of people engaging on savage acts of animal cruelty, daily, acts whose effects you witness and made your soul cry in desperation.
People around you didn’t help much either. Your own family rejected you because of the way you felt towards animals, your parents threw away your dog because he cried when you were not around, your husband threatened to leave you unless you got rid of those kittens you rescued.
You were alone.
And then a group arrived who offered what matter most to people. A connection. A tribe. Let’s Adopt offered you the possibility to connect with people like you. It gave you the chance to seek support on others, to build friendships around a simple premise, a way of life, love and respect to animals.
Suddenly things started to change. You started to feel that all all those years of isolation had been merely an illusion. As a matter of fact there were others like you. Many others. Down the street there was this gentleman who night after night would leave the comfort of his home to feed the stray animals in the neighborhood. A few hundred metres away there was this nice couple who had made their life mission to rescue and rehabilitate injured animals and find them families… suddenly those people were all around you.
Let’s Adopt! did nothing but building that connection.
Lets Adopt! is a network of very special people. People like you, empowered by the strength of the group, committed to achieve extraordinary things and, most importantly, leading by example.
We cannot save all of them. No matter how big the number of members our action are limited to the extent of the work of our members. But we can teach you the way so that YOU become a rescuer, so that YOU show the way to others.
What we can do is to continue working. What YOU can do is to continue doing exactly what you do, helping, rescuing animals, fighting injustice, speaking the truth, and doing so with the courage and conviction that comes from the knowing that you are not alone anymore!!!
Continue building the connection. Today I want to invite you to continue spreading the reach and influence of this amazing group by inviting each and every single person on your friends list to join Lets Adopt. Do it today, because amongst those masses of people there are still many who feel as lonely and isolated as you felt before you found us.
Invite your friends today.
All the best
Viktor Larkhill

Excellent read. Our opinions and judgements must be based on our own personal experiences. It was only after I fully joined the Let’s Adopt community that I fully understood the importance of why we do what we do: To rescue, rehabilitate and care for animals. NOT to answer to the doubters or justify our calling but to raise awareness and spread a message so powerful that it frightens the weak into passive-aggressive smear campaigns. Those people are cowards and they’ll never have a baring over what must be done to protect those animals that rely on humans.

If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!!!!!

Exactly how I feel at the moment – that I might finally be part of the solution, as opposed to just witnessing the problem, and being so frustrated with incredibly limited options to help! Love and sunshine to you all!
