Alexander was found about a month ago inside a plastic garbage waiting to be collected by municipal workers. Yes, a garbage bag…
The person that found Alexander heard a muted miaow as she was passing by. Barely a whisper. It was Alexander awaiting a horrible destiny. She had to get inside the container to get the garbage bag (and Alexander the kitten out).
Alexander was rescued from the garbage but his general health condition was far from promising. He was very very sick, exteremely weak, and needed IV and intensive care…
But Alexander made it. Within a month, he grew up to be a gorgeous and healty kitten. It was time for him to be adopted.
And there came the loveliest young couple in Istanbul who adopted Gypsy a couple of days ago. Initially, they offered Alexander a foster home. However, Alexander soon conquered both their hearts. They decided that they were not letting Alexander go anywhere!!
Today, Alexander and Gypsy live together,
and nobody can dare remove them from this bed!!

Cesur and Boncuk
Here at Lets Adopt we see the most amazing stories on a daily basis…
This is one of the most incredible ones, a true story about the healing power of love and friendship. The pictures speak by themselves.
Is the story of a little puppy, Cesur, who due to veterinary malpractice found himself about to have his two legs amputated. We can only imagine the pain that little one went through.
It is the story of a cat, Boncuk, the stray that befriended him and became his inseparable companion during this months of agony and pain…
Cesur is now totally recovered and looking for a family, willing to take him. He will not travel alone though.. It is both Cesur (hero) and Boncuk wish to continue their journey through life together and we at Lets Adopt will do everything to make this possible. We need a family willing to adopt both Cesur and Boncuk together.
Conditions for adoption? It is easy to see that this case will require a very special family.
We will spare no effort in finding the perfect place for Cesur and Boncuk, we would prefer for them to stay in Turkey but if that perfect family is to be found abroad they will travel with one of our volunteers to their new home.

Three months later…. Istanbul…

We rescued Gypsy two months ago.The beautiful grey-long haired kitten was found hiding under the bushes. At first we thought she was just one of a cat litter so we gave her some food and water and left her where she was. The next morning the kitten was still there, crying more than ever. All the food and water was gone, probably eaten by other cats.

Gipsy was there, paralysed and not moving, just crying. We soon understood why.
Gipsy was blind.
We took Gipsy to our trusted vet, Ali Ulker, who after examining the kitten diagnosed blindness caused by intoxication.
He encouraged us not to loose hope and promised to do everything within his power to restore the Gipsy’s eyesight.
Today, after two months of treatment Gympsy is a beautiful kitten with perfect vision. Her hair is absolutely beautiful and silky, long and flowing with the wind. This is going to be an incredibly beautiful cat.

Gypsy is incredibly sweet natured, and her favourite pasttime is to climb onto our neck and purr. She is social and playful and she gets along incredibly well with other cats.

So many of you ask me, what can we do to help you and the animals? Here is the answer… what we did was just the beginning.. we saved the kitten and restore her vision, now you could help us by making sure that Gipsy spends the rest of her life in a loving family.

Gypsy at her new home… she changed her name.. became Gizmo..

Pixie… a beautiful soul
Pixie was born in Cannakale a stray cat on the street… But she was not cute like his brothers and sisters. She was born with a partial deformity on the face.. As a result Pixie is blind from her left eye as well as having a somewhat “unusual” facial expression.
Other than that she is in perfect health..
Now.. Guess what? Because she does not look “perfect” the people in the street want her removed or better, dead as, stupidly they think she brings bad luck!!
They tried to kill her several times but she managed to hide. People had no problem with the other cats, but they don’t like the looks of this poor kitten.
So, as always, we were fighting an uphill battle against lack of education, inhumanity and barbarism.
Firstly we got the kitten to a safe place. Now we needed to make sure Pixie spent the rest of her life with a loving family that judged her not by her looks but by the beauty of her soul… because you can be sure Pixie has a soul… Unlike the so-called-humans that repeatedly tried to kill her.

Pixie was lucky… she was adopted by another beautiful soul, our friend Belkis… She now lives with Fabio, Nazli and Senol in a multi-species family where noone ever gets bored!

Waiting at the door for Pixies arrival
